Trainfest in Milwaukee Nov 8 and 9
Posted by dknelson on Thursday, October 30, 2008 8:31 AM

This year's Trainfest at State Fair Park in West Allis WI is November 8 and 9.  As some of you know for the last several years those of us who post in the Kalmbach Forums have gathered for a group photo at the Kalmbach Publishing booth.  This year's gathering will be Saturday Nov 8 at 1 pm.  If you have a Forum Member T shirt this is a good day to wear it (other than the fact that you'll get rather chilly since November is not T shirt weather in Milwaukee).   As always folks associated with Kalmbach are especially welcome to join us (we usually ask someone from Kalmbach to take the photo  Wink

Wish I could make it Dave, but my bride and I (along with friends from Wausau) will be in Branson, MO to see Andy Williams (is he still alive?) and some other "days of yesterday" acts on that date.  Hope you all enjoy the Trainfest!!!  Hope to perhaps make it next year.

My wife and I should be there.  I'll bring my tripod and/or have my wife take the picture.  That way we don't leave anyone out!  Noonish?

Sadly, I still work on weekends (think about who sent those westbound/northbound UP trains from Proviso up your way when you see them!).

Something else to look forward to, post-retirement (maybe not next year, but...).

Let's shoot for 1 pm, Dan.  Doesn't your wife want to be in the picture with us?

Let's see.  I could cancel my plans to be getting an inspection trip on the UP around Sacramento on Saturday and riding the Cal Zephyr east on Sunday.  Nah!

Unfortunately, we've committed ourselves to help our daughter and son-in-law change residences in the Des Moines area Saturday, so don't look for me there.Sad
