Well,

Kentucky has:

P & L already listed
Ky. Railway Museum
Bluegrass Railway Museum
r.j.Corman; they are running the branch from Bardstown Jct. to Bardstown (My Old
Kentucky Dinner Train)
They have a branch in eastern Ky. An old C & O line connecting with the CSX around
Paintsville.
r.j.Corman is also running trackage rights on the old L & N from Winchester towards Berea. Also from Lexington to Louisville at Osborn Yd.
They are running trackage in several other areas;along with their derailment? (maybe
rerailment crew)out of Nicholasville,Ky.

Heres one that won't be around much longer:
The Sierra Pacific railroad. It is owned by Sierra Pacific as an outlet for there mill in Susanville. That mill is sch. to close in a month or two (not shure of the date). It runs between Susanville,Ca. and Wendel,ca. where it connects with the SP (Oops, UP).
Since this is the only reason for this remaining southern end of the Modoc lines existance, I don't expect it will be to long befor UP abandonds its section from Wendel to Flannigan,Nv.

It seems "oops" I forgot at least one in KY: Big South Fork Scenic RR.
There may be a couple more that I'm not familiar with.

TCWR- Twin Cities & Western Railroad, a shortline in Minnesota running from Minneapolis/St Paul, through south central Minnesota to Appleton, MN, then BNSF rights to Milbank, SD. Line is the start of the former Milwaukee Road Pacific Extension, then former Soo Line.

MPLI- A sister road to TC&W, Minnesota Prairie Line Operates a line connecting with the TC&W at Norwood, MN running out to Hanley Falls, MN. Line is former MSTL, then C&NW. Last check, their locomotives were two GP10s painted in the MPLI scheme, but I had heard the GP10s were on their last days and might be using different power currently.

Chicago Rail Link
Erie Western, later Chicago & Indiana, now abandoned.
Chicago, Central & Pacific, absorbed back into IC
Wisconsin Central, absorbed into CN
Chicago SouthShore & South Bend
Indiana Harbor Belt
Belt Railway of Chicago

In north Georgia, the Hartwell has recently expanded to become the Hartwell and Athens Line. Also its sister road the Great Walton.

Between the two of them their are about a dozen different fallen flag locomotives rolling down the rails.

Some more Colorado railroads:
Canyon City and Royal Gorge
Georgetown Loop
Leadville & Southern (?)
Pikes Peak Cog Railway

Note: This is the LAST season for the Georgetown Loop as we know it. A new group will be running it, if one can be found. They will have to have their own equipment as
the current operators will be taking theirs with them.

mudchicken, you should change your username to guru or something, you seem to know almost everything[:)]

Guru? Huh? What the? Just a humble mudchicken out on the high prairie. On here with everybody else to have a little fun, learn from each other and maybe keep up with LC, IronKen, UniHead and the others....and avoid being the main course for Mookie on the prowl!

Also, have had the good fortune to work in many different places around railroads and learn from some really good teachers.... Gotta keep tabs on what's going on and where the work is at......Also a little opinionated from a trackman, technician and managers point of view- as if you had not noticed[;)]. We still really need to find a carknocker around here somewhere to get active on the forum.....
