CSX Pres, Ward hints at New Name for CSX...
Posted by Anonymous on Friday, April 11, 2008 5:27 PM

According the a recent Trains Magazine Artical Ward said that he would like to see a new name for CSX...Anyone here got any sugestions? Mine is the Great Lakes Baltimore and Seaboard Railroad or just Seaboard and Ohio...

Or Lets just go with oldest part of the railroad the "B&O" because everyone is familar with that off the Monopoly board

If we can't have prefection why don't we put all to the names of the CSXT's predecesers, as of 1970, in a hat and draw a name.

Sunrunner!
"By many measures, the U.S. freight rail system is the safest, most efficient and cost effective in the world." - Federal Railroad Administration, October, 2009. I'm just your average, everyday, uncivilized howling "anti-government" critic of mass government expenditures for "High Speed Rail" in the US. And I'm gosh darn proud of that.

What date TRAINS and page number mentioned Mr. Ward's interest in changing the name?

How about "Super Service [Railroad]" and then really giving rail customers their money's worth?

"Great Lakes, Atlantic & Gulf" (the computer wouldn't let me quote the guy who suggested it) sounds appropriate and descriptive--and "GAG" could be used for the reporting mark.
