Grand River and Beck is a road intersection in Novi Mi...."Lyons" sounds like South Lyons Mi .....there is  passing siding on CSX at So. Lyons....the bridge would 8 Mile rd over the CSX main..east of So. Lyon.... there is a trailer park there..this is extremely distrubing to know this is happening where i live.....depressing too......in 1998 there was soneone with a scanner/transmitter broadcasting " CSX sucks" over and over as well as other things that the FCC would not like...... CSX Police and FBI investigations  found nothing but the transmissions stopped.....i have been rocked numerious times in this area.....its a boarderline rural/suburb area of Detroit.....rich kids that have nothing better to do and rich parents ready to bail them out of trouble.....welcome to generation whatever......makes ya all warm and fuzzy knowing these are the same people who will run this country in 30 or 40 years

I bet this the same guy, hey if you live in that area, then you should report it. I hate being part of the generation you mentioned. this guy is going to do something wrong one day and it will kill him.

there is a difference between yourself and "that generation"....people are products of their raising....these punks have no parents that care or believe their kids are bad eggs...Monday i will call the Trainmaster in Rougmere explain who i am (former CSX trainman) and what ive seen.....might not have much weight but it does need to stop before someone gets hurt or they DO derail a train

please do, it's to keep this freak from doing serious damage. I looked at all comments to him and they basically give him great scolding. Might I mention he is a teenager, even though he says he is 26. I say as many of us try to report him. Also, PLEASE FLAG HIS VIDEOS TO GET THEM BLOCKED

Actually I would recommend contacting them again. Probably the more people that call the more seriously they will take the issue. The whole thing probably sounds strange to them--someone from Georgia (me) reporting vandalism in Michigan. Eventually someone is going to get hurt. Jamie

Want to bet?....I often think some/many judges are as stupid as the criminals that enter their courts (who says the words judge and criminal aren't synonymous?)

All I get when I click the link is a promotional video for the GEVO locomotive. Anyway, I found some videos similar to the one you described a while back and with a little research (Google Earth) I was able to find out exactly where the videos were made. This person was placing watermelons, shopping carts, microwaves, TVs and even a refrigerator on the tracks then filming trains crashing into them. I contacted the local police department and the CSX 800 hotline and reported it to them. I never heard anything back from either of them and about a month later the videos were still there, so I have no idea what action (if any) was ever taken.

Alright, so wrong video link and contacting CSX won't help. Thanks for any advice.

Yep this is the guy that I reported back last year. If you do a serach in Google Maps for "charing cross, northville, mi 48167" you will get almost the exact location. This road is the overpass that can be seen in the videos. Last year I reported this to the Northville, MI police and called the CSX 800 hotline. The CSX hotline seemed like an answering service as they just took my info and said they would followup. Never heard anything back from either the police or CSX. I don't see the refrigerator video any more but looks like there is a new one as of last week so not sure if anything was ever done about this. Jamie

Yep, for sure...but have you ever noticed how morons / mental midgets like that guys always seem to have enough brain power to overcome every obstacle meant to deter them from doing  harm to others and others property?

Well, it's not like CSX would have to change, I'd be really mad if CSX got blamed for something...."but it was that railroad's fault that they don't have a 30' high concrete wall around the tracks!"

The world would be a much safer place if the pry bar that moron threw under the train had popped out and hit him square in the face.

The guy actually gives a lot of evidence where he is. In the pumpkin video, he mentions a "Kroger on Grand River and Beck." He says that as he was putting the pumpkins in his car, someone from the store saw him and he "peeled" out of there. I've been watching maxisouttogetus's greatest hits. I do wish the people responding to him would stop saying they hoped the train derails and lands on him or cussing him out. I hope they aren't railfans I know. Here's what I can imagine happening. CSX crews are calling them in and the local police are aware of this eaning it's just a matter of time before they get caught, hopefully before they are hurt or killed or before their actions hurt or kill an innocent person.

In case anyone wants to notifiy CSX about situations concerning safety on their property the number of the Public Safety Command Center is 800-232-0144.

The link below should take you to the video in question.  I wouldn't worry too much about this character.  People like this are the ones that usually come up with unique ways of removing themselves from the gene pool to become Darwin Award nominees. (he'd better be glad that pipe didn't bounce off the car wheel and crack him in the head!)

Heres the link to a video which is very disturbing. A guy puts a microwave on a track and a train runs it over. then he tries to throw steel posts under the train, and manages to get one under. he said he got a waterheater, but decided not to put it in the track.
I am considering alerting the police or someone about this act of stupidity and lawlessness

I think you should call the police, or perhaps the RR company (the Big's have their alert-and-accident "800" numbers online; I don't know about the short-lines).

The loco or rolling stock may have been damaged more than was apparent, and "Snidely Whiplash" should not be allowed to do this again if it can be helped.  - a. s.
