I'm surprised you rated HHGTTG as #8 [considering the quote in your signature]. Granted, it was not as slapstick or corney as the others, but it certainly had a 'cerebral' edge to it, lots of 'injokes' and references to catch. And Marvin is absolutely the funniest ! "Life! YES YES YES, that's it. Loved it. I don't watch much tv at all these days. The computer is now my one eyed friend. About the only thing the tv is used for is to watch railroad videos.

Yes, I know, but I had to be a bit objective about what my list would be, and I really think the ones rated higher are definetly better comedies. The Guide's TV version was inferior to the novels and the radio show in that so much had to be left out. So while I am a huge fan of the novels I am fine with placing in the top ten but not at the top of the top ten.
