BALT  sure hate to see all that institutional knowledge go to retirement.  Speaking of retirement any truth that you know of retirement of some dispatch offices going with the new division consolidation.

Following is a partial screen shot of 'my' Yard Limit as displayed on the CADS screen

The Blue 72228 inicated that there is a MofW Authority by that number that has possession of the McAbee Yard Limit in the East [way the arrow is pointing] Direction (Authorities can be issued as East - West or Both depending upon particular circumstance).

In CSX CADS screens the top Left of the screen is either West or North, depending on the direction of the territory.  The RF&P and most of the territories South of Richmond are N-S railroads.  Most all the territories North of the RF&P are E-W railroads.

The RF&P is interesting--the zero MP is in Richmond--and the NB signals are even-umbered and the SB signals are odd-numbered--just they are on RR's with the zero MP at the north or east end.

One other thing, the RF&P Milepost designations have been carried through on the former PRR and B&O track up to the point when the Alexandria Extension connects to the Capital Sub at Hyattsville, MD.

And when you get to the former P&LE portion of the Pittsburgh Sub - MP 0 is at Station Square Pittsburgh (the former P&LE Pittisburgh Station) and the Milepost increment in both directions from MP 0.  PLE series milepost to the West and PLY series milepost to the East.

Looks like there was another retirement this week … The last active F-4 Phantom II was retired yesterday.

A fine send-off to a remarkable aircraft.  From the 60's to the 21st Century, just amazing.  Imagine a World War One SPAD 13 flying missions in Vietnam, that's akin to what the Phantom's achived.

Phantom (II)s were one of those planes that look like mean angry machines, like BF 109s.

@ BALT ACD:

It just occurred to me that you and I are probably about the same age.

I sure hope you're in better shape than I am.
