Good Saturday morning, everyone!  Joe, thank you so much for taking care of breakfast this morning.  I decided to sleep in, and didn't wake up until about an hour ago.   Larry, I'm so glad to hear that Evie is o.k., and no pneumonia!!  Now you all can enjoy the rest of your holiday weekend.

Really enjoyed the visit with sis-in-law, niece, nephew, niece-in-law and baby Miranda.  She looks a lot like her Grandpa, my late brother:  scrunches here face up just like him.  She will not, though, leave her socks on her feet:  she managed to work her foot around until the offending sock comes off. Did get some holding time in too!  They will be heading back to Cleveland today.

We have 31, 32 degrees this morning, with a little bit of frost, going for sunny skies and a temp of 60 today.  It should be a gorgeous day for people Christmas shopping, working, railfanning, and putting up outside Christmas decorations, or whatever plans you have for the day.  Everyone have a very good day, be careful and take care.  See you all back in tonight for our pizza fest?

Bright sunshine, calm and 31 degrees as we get started here in the mid west this morning......Had report of one inch of snow blowing around last evening over in our home area, Somerset Co,, Pennsylvania.  Really don't need any of that here yet.

Last November we had either a skiff of snow or a measurable amount 5 times by now....Started Nov. 9th.  Would be nice if this year's pattern would continue.....

Morning all, Joe thanks for breakfast.

20* here in Western Indiana today we are supposed to hit 55 today, but I don’t think we will.

Disappointing news today our Fountain Central Mustangs were defeated 59-0 last night in the IHSAA stare foot ball championships. Sad news. I knew I should have stayed in the parking lot, and watched trains!

Larry, have fun with your granddaughter.

Joe, hope CSX has lots of action for you today!

Have a safe day,

Justin

Greetings. It is an excellent day in Carolina. The USC Gamecocks whomped their archrival Clemson tigers big time 34-17. It really doesn't matter all that much how the rest of the season goes, so long as we win thissen. I think Carolina wound up 7-5 overall, and probably will get a bowl bid. How sweet it is!! It makes for a wahoo woopy weekend.

It was sunny today, and currently 56, low tonight around freezing, I think. Seafood tonight so will see yall later. Take care

Tom

Well, here it is, Saturday night.  I hope you all have had a very good day today.  Mine has been very quiet.  Mutt went with Sarah to Ju Jitsu (sp?), then they were going to go shoot pool.  I hope they're all right:  they've been gone since 10:30 this morning.  Sure they are, or I would have received a phone call by now.  (I hope!)

Here's our Saturday Night Pizza menu:

1.  Canadian bacon

2.  Chicago style

3.  Cheese w/extra cheese

4.  Goetta

5.  Hawaiian

6.  Pepperoni/mushroom

7.  Pepperoni/sausage/onion/sweet red & green peppers

8.  Supreme

9.  Italian sausage calzones

Everyone enjoy, have a terrific evening and take care.

Had a very good day of railfanning in Fremont, Nebraska today. 22 trains came through town between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM (and I probably missed a few when I left for lunch). Some of the intermodal trains were quite long also, which should be a good sign concerning the economy. The weather was nice too. The high was 60 degrees, after starting the day at around 30 degrees.

Pizza, schmizza.  (Well, we did have leftover pizza for lunch.)  A full blown Thankgiving dinner tonight.  I'm stuffed!  Granddaughter filled up on mashed spuds and green beans.

On the road Sunday.   Hopefully traffic won't be as challenging as it was on Wednesday.

Good Sunday morning, everyone.  We are starting out with a temp of 50 degrees this morning, going for a high in the low 60s again today.  Yesterday's high was 63.  This kind of weather could stay all winter long, and I wouldn't complain.  We do have the possibility/probability of some light rain coming in right around sundown tonight, thru tomorrow.

Larry, sounds like Evie knows what the good veggies are!  Glad she's doing so well.  Be careful on your way back home.

Coffee, juices, hot chocolate, hot cider and hot water for our tea drinkers are ready to go.

On the breakfast/warmer bar this morning:  cinnamon rolls w/vanilla cream cheese frosting on top, blueberry muffins, bagels and bear claws, along with some bacon and eggs, and cooked rice and toast.

Unless one of you request something different, I guess our Sunday Dinner will consist of Thanksgiving Day Dinner leftovers.  Everyone keep safe and take care, with whatever you'll be doing/going this fine morning.

Our midwest morning is with nice sunshine.....mid 40s' temps.  Not sure just what the forecast is for this afternoon.  November here...has been very comfortable, nothing very nasty.  Not even a hint of snow or flurries.

Yard looks so pretty and green with the sun shining across it and the fairway behind me.  This helps to speed this season right along.

Church next, and then probably Sunday lunch at Ruby Tuesday's....which is very nice here in Muncie.

Newspapers have been so full of advertisements these past several days and it looks like some real bargins are out there....Appliances, electronics, {some that I don't even know what they are or do...}....Not trying to keep up with it all....We'll let the younger one's do so.

A good new week to all...

I have warmed up all the Thanksgiving Dinner leftovers, and they are now on the warmer bar:  turkey, dressing, green beans, corn; there's also fresh crescent rolls straight out of the oven, along with cole slaw, potato salad, pistachio salad, cranberry sauce, mashed taters & gravy and fruit salad.

Don't know what it is, but I went back to bed around 7:50 this morning, woke up at 10:20, and I feel like I could go back to sleep right now.  Guess it's the cloudy, gloomy conditions we have.

I hope you all are more awake than I seem to be this afternoon.  Enjoy your afternoon, keep safe and take care.

Cannonball:  If it doesn't get any warmer looking forward....I'll not disturb the tractor as it has been put to bed in the little barn and covered with plastic.   I'll catch those out of control few blades next season though.....

Now having a few drops of rain, but we're into the 50's for temp now.....

Watch that "black ice".....it can be serious stuff......

The members of the Lakewood, Washington police force are in need of our thoughts and prayers over the coming days after four of their fellow officers were shot to death today. I pray that the piece of worthless garbage that shot those officers is captured and justice is served.

Willy, I just finished reading this story on the internet, and being a 2005 graduate of Citizen's Police Academy here in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, I have nothing but deep respect and appreciation for our nation's police officers. I too, hope and am praying that the authorities in the Lakewood, Washington area are able to find the individual who committed this horrible crime. The families of these four officers must be going through a nightmare right now.

Been out getting into mischief, as usual.

So sad about those Washington police officers.  It is not safe out there anymore!

But on a happier note - we have our beloved fire department back home!  They were taken out of the little house on the corner of our block in Sept due to major plumbing problems.  So they fixed everything and remodeled it all and they came back 100% today.  Really enjoying the sirens - an engine, a truck and an ambulance.  All is well in this corner of the world at any rate!

Good Monday morning, everyone.  I am so sorry to hear about the officers in Washington State.  Hopefully, the police will catch the person responsible for this reprehensible act.

Mookie, I'm glad to hear that you have your fire department back in full force!  There's nothing like those firefighters, is there?

Coffee, juices, hot cider, hot chocolate and hot water for tea are ready to go.  On the breakfast/warmer bar this morning:  bagels, bear claws, and other regular breakfast menu items are ready.

We've had bits of light rain overnight, causing problems on the roadways this morning.  Current temp is 45 degrees, and our high today will be 47, so temp's aren't going to be too far today.  There's also a nice, brisk breeze this morning.

Everyone enjoy your morning, and if anyone has any requests for lunch/supper, please let me know, and I'll get started on the preparations for the meal.   Take care, and see you all in a bit.

A tad damp here in the north woods, but it's not snowing....

Saw the story about the Washington incident last night.  Had to call my son - it strikes a bit close to home for him.  He lived less than a mile from where it went down when he was out there.

At least I'm not driving today.  Haven't checked the trip odometer, but I'm pushing 1000 miles for the long weekend, and some of that was in some pretty miserable conditions - weather and traffic.

A bearclaw and tea sounds marvelous!

Think I will go "cyber shopping" with my "cyber $$$" for all my "cyber friends".

Anyone want something "cyber" that you will never get?  (I actually did order some new socks.  It will be the post office fault if they fail to arrive in my real mailbox!)

I am going to go heckle Tree for part of his bearclaw and a sip of tea.  Thumbs Up

Good morning, and thanks for breakfast. 49 and sunny in Carolina this lovely day. Last report, the SWAT had the scumbag surrounded. He is wounded and possibly dead. Let's hope for the best. As a former S C State Constable, the families are in my thoughts and prayers.

Well, it is after noon, so guess I'd better let you all know what we're having for lunch, hadn't I?

I've fixed some BLT sandwiches, to go along with, (instead of chicken noodle soup) turkey noodle soup.  The noodles are homemade, and there's plenty of noodles, turkey, potatoes, beans, peas, carrots, onion and corn mixed in.

Someone else may have to take care of the supper menu tonight.  For some strange reason, my lower back is hurting, right around my waist.  Having trouble finding a comfortable position, either sitting or standing.

Joe, thanks to you, Stacey and Matt for our received Christmas card.  It came a little while ago in the mail.  I'm still debating on whether I'm going to do Christmas cards this year.
