I might be doing soem railfanning in the Chicago area and northwest Indiana, and I would like to know where are the spots and where are the spots to avoid? And fainley what spots do you rin the risk of beeing happeled by locoal or railroad police? I am interested in seeing NS, CSX, and Amtrak. Please let me know thatk you.
You can see both NS and Amtrak at Porter Junction in Indiana. If you want to see CSX Blue Island and Dolton both see lots of CSX traffic, plus you can catch IHB at both locations.
