CSX employee injured in Stanley

  •  The paper reported that a employee was injured while working 3rd trick at Stanley yard in  Ohio and is in  the hospital. I hope for the best for him.  I used to get my check there and it is a big yard with lots of work going on.  God be with him!

  • Any details as to what happened?

It seems a bit sketchy in the Toledo Blade paper. I think the paper mentioned a RC unit may have been involved. I also read he was working on a track and was struck by a train or car on the next track.

  • It is always sad to hear about fellow railroaders getting hurt on the job. I think the worst thing is that CSX will try to do is place the blame of the accident on the individual. They will more than likley say that he wasn't following one of the rules in the Safe Way book or something.

Working for the railroad I have learned to always CYA cover your #$%; because if they find the slightest thing wrong they will turn that against you in a min. Sad [:(]

LORD HELP US ALL TO BE ORIGINAL AND NOT CRISPY!!! please? Sarah J.M. Warner conductor CSX
  • I hope this person is gonna be ok, I never want to read about anyone being injured out here on the railroad. Sarah, you're right, this person will get an investigation letter before he can be cleared to go back to work. I know the drill as this hits close to home, it's something I wouldn't wish on anyone.
  •     ou always hate to hear about or seeing a fellow employee getting hurt or worse It doesnt matter what railroad it is we are all brothers and sisters who are railroaders  My thoughts and prayers are with him   Larry
