  • Anything from the GE U-boats to AC60CW; to the EMD E and F units to the SD70ACe I genrally Like them all. Not to leave out ALCOs too except for "Black Maria's" and their early locomotives (not High Hoods). I like to spread out my locomotive likes.
"There is nothing in life that compares with running a locomotive at 80-plus mph with the windows open, the traction motors screaming, the air horns fighting the rush of incoming air to make any sound at all, automobiles on adjacent highways trying and failing to catch up with you, and the unmistakable presence of raw power. You ride with fear in the pit of your stomach knowing you do not really have control of this beast." - D.C. Battle [Trains 10/2002 issue, p74.]
  • Being a BNSF fan i love the old BN green and black engines that had the long nose with the white stripes running down the front of the nose they were the older trains BN used and still use them sometimes. They also have some with the BN logo painted on the nose too.
  • Santa Fe Warbonnet F-3's and F-7's - about as classic as they come, very tough to beat aesthetically, and pulled the Super Chief, easily one of the best trains ever, anywhere!
