Mmmmm, sounds good to me!
How's the railfannin out your way?
Good job for starting it, I was last minute invited to a New Year's party, so I couldn't...
Railfanning ATM is total crap...it's very dark, too warm, and not winter enough. Plus, as I type, I'm trying to bring my computer into what could in theory be defined as an operational state...old POS....

Hey, could some of you give me some photography pointers. I have noticed some excellent pictures on the previous thread and would like some pointers.
Eric, I have 2 pix for you. A UP Challenger, and a UP Dash9.
Enjoy!!!

Not on this computer, that avatar is the only one. Colin thank you those G scales frekin rocks!!! LONG LIVE ARMOUR YELLOW AND HARBOR MIST GREY!
Eric, your welcome.
Thanks Oscale, I wish the layout was mine, but I help out there a lot. I am planning a layout for my backyard, probably 3 mainlines, a logging line, a yard, sidings, a lot of industries, a small town, a bridge or two, and a water feature. I will probably plant a small forest of dwarf evergreen trees so the trains aren't always visible.
Lance: I can't really give tips for general photographs, only specifics! The best advice I can give right now is to practice, practice, practice...and make sure to use a tripod as much as possible. Which I forgot to bring to the light show....so I had to use the mini-tripod for everything, which is a PAIN. (I always carry a little tripod with me at all times, just in case)
Last night I went to a light show at the zoo, and guess what it was called...
Once in, we were greeted by a horse and cart...
Monkey trees! The monkey flashes across the rope, but because of the exposure, I got it in all its stages.
A tunnel of candy canes!
Not totally sure what happened with this picture....Tiger on a gift shop!
"'Cause the power you're supplyin'...it's electrifying!"
I tried some funky ones that would be my parents in sharp focus with a bunch of blurry lights, but...they didn't work out all that well.

The same photo, with really high contrast to appeal to the druggies!
"zOMFG DRAAAAGOOON"
Tried some more weird blur stuff on the way out....
Then I saw...THE MOON!
