so what do you guys think i should do? buy a UP and hope that its close enough to prototype that all ill have to do is paint it? or keep looking?

Well thats up to you....For me Id buy one thats already painted and done so all ya have to do is run it...Id weather it a lil bit maybe but for me...Id go for one thats already painted and RTR :)

I'll try to get on soon J. Jordan, no, WC never had any MP15s, and concor is about the last brand you want to buy from (paint sucks, but the drives are actually pretty good for a piece of junk).

Now I just need a EJ&E chevron scheme SD38-2 especially number 665 with flashing ditch lights, RS3L horn, and correct sounds for MSTS. My SN 818 is a SDM that is in the chevron paint scheme, but 665 is really my favorite. Another nice WC SD45 there. I'm going to have to get ahold of one of those if I get the chance.

My goodness those are nice EJ&E SD38-2s! Did you make those and are they available on any website? I've GOT to get those! Wow, plus that is the first chevron painted one I've ever seen for MSTS, and the J-ball painted 661 looks excellent! I can't get over how nice those look!

well idk what railfanning ill be getting in any time soon. now that football playoffs are here. New London Plays Fox valley lutheran for level 1. then if we move to level 2 port washington or plymouth. should be fun. the 2nd game is saturday the 27th.

The 661 is a Payware Dekosoft unit which I re-did to make it sound better...Gave it a new horn, bell and new sounds and the 658 was on the MLT web site but there web site went down hill and is no longer up....I knew ya would like them...Thats why I posted them for ya ...You got any messangers like AOL YAHOO or MSN by chance???

i thought that the EJ&E SD 38's dident have chevrons on the back.

what sim are you guys useing for all thoes? i am useing TRAINZ 2006. i enjoy the sim but have seen some of the cool things you guys get and im kinda wanting to get some of them.

I'm not sure whether BCLW is doing EJ&E or not, but we're definitely releasing a TON of SD38s...

The EJ&E SD38-2s in the new scheme do have chevrons on the back, but the ones in the old paint scheme don't. The Athearn model I was talking about had a J logo on the front and chevrons on the back, but it is supposed to be either chevrons on both the front and back or the J ball on front and no chevrons on the back. They are probably trying to represent both schems on one engine. On that model the lead engine is in the old scheme (no chevrons at all) and the second engine is in the new scheme (chevrons on both ends). Nobody has released a HO scale model of the chevron scheme. EJ&E likes its engines to be visable and they usually like to put a overly large amount of refective tape on their engines for high visability at night, and the chevrons are basically big refective taping. Hope that clarifies the SD38-2 paint schemes. Until 2004, EJ&E had the largest fleet of SD38-2s so I wouldn't doubt that BCLW could release some of those in the future. The only railroad that has more is actually, believe it ot not, CN! They own 4 of their own SD38-2s plus all of the DM&IR and B&LE SD38-2s. With EJ&E's SD38-2s joining them next year CN will have a even larger fleet of them, so they really wouldn't be considered oddballs to CN like they used to be, plus they make excellent yard switcher, so it is possible that they could even put a end to the IC SW14s.
