BTW: TIGERS ARE AWESOME, THERE JUST TAKING A BREAK.
well it's me again, stumbling around the yard in town. I heard 2500 was back, but I never saw her. Maybe she's the switcher, but I dought it. Anyway I didn't catch 2500, but I did catch WC 3014, which I already saw, and IC 6020.
EJE, if if other people didn't like the RR, you did. And that's all that really matters.

Neat catch on the 2500, WCfan, and the IC locomotive too (though somehow they always look wrong with the yellow frame stripe). Once the IC and WC power goes, it sure will make the CN a heck of a lot more boring. More reason for me to just stay down here in the land of SOO, BNSF, and the WSOR I guess...

Jordan, when you see a EJ&E you will like it, I 100% guarentee that. The bright orange usually photographs quite well, especially in snow or close to sunset when the orange paint will glow. I forgot to mention, I saw my first KCS Southern Belle painted SD70ACe last weekend. Looks a lot better in person than it does in photos. Very colorful paint scheme that is hard to mistake for anything else. It wasn't in the lead but I am looking forward to seeing more of them, preferably leading. The EJ&E probably won't show up right away, but it may start showing up. I don't see anything limiting where they could run. I'd honestly would prefer if they stay in the Chicago area, but I'm sure they will go into Wisconsin and Minnesota occasionally, but nothing is for sure until the merge happens. Here are four photos I have taken over the last week.
Thursday, the same day as the EJ&E night shots, BNSF 8867 heads through Westmont.
Saturday: NS 9694 leads a eastbound stack train under a new signal bridge in Berwyn, approaching LaVergne.
BNSF 5074 heads east through Riverside. The historic Riverside water tower stands directly above the engine.
A pair of cascade green SD40-2s pass the historic Riverside water tower.
What a funky tower! Then again, it's pleasant change from most water towers!
(8) I like a small town...always know where you are....and then if you don't....you don't have to look far....for the water tower where...the name is printed up for all....in letters ten feet tall.. (8)

Building the CPR Kootenay division in N scale, blog here: http://kootenaymodelrailway.wordpress.com/
have you seen that athearn has an HO scale model of a SD 38 in EJE paint? it looks nice
personaly im ordering this one:
there bouth nice looking models though.
There are white chevrons on the back of that Athearn EJ&E SD38-2. Totally inaccurate to have a J-ball on the front and chevrons on the back, plus all of the engine numbers available were sold to DM&IR before the chevron scheme came out. I already have quite a few models of EJ&E including two SD9s (patched DM&IR and Outer Belt), a chop-nosed ex-B&LE SD18, two SW1200s, a NW2, GP38-2 703 in both the outer belt and J-ball logos. The J-ball 703 was the one the EJ&E itself sent me free of charge, and found the outer belt painted 703 for a very cheap price. I also have a J-ball Kato SD38-2, 665, my favorite SD38-2 on the system. I caught another EJ&E train with SD38-2s 670 and 661 leading a rail train. Here are two shots.
Note there are two unique features on 670, it is the only EJ&E SD38-2 to have a B&LE style sand filler hatch on it. It was moved on 671-675 when they came over. Also the position of the ditch lights is unique on 670.
last night my dad and I went railfaning, no pics though it was kinda "spur" of the moment the last GTW swicher here in town was swiching the dunn paper spur. they were by the ST. clair river and there were some fishers my dad and i made it to a small platform close to the tracks while i here WHAT THE F**K ARE YOU DOING GET OFF THE TRACKS!!!!!! WHAT ARE YOU CRAZY!?!?!?!?!?!!??! I thought that the breakmen were yelling at me and my dad becuse we were crossing the tracks like 100 ft away and the train was moveing. (i am smart enough to know when to cross and when not to this was safe to cross in my mind) it turns out that a fisherman was walikng back to his truck about 10 ft from the front coupler of the train. the breakmen told the engeneer to stop.(personaly i would have not told him to stop) so while the breakman on the right side of the train yelled at the idot fisherman. the one on the left lectured the other fishermen. i have a feeling that the one on the right side got the idots licens plate number. and my dad and i are laughing so hard becuse the guy only would have had to wait one minuite to cross and now he is getting a ticket and lectured about railroad saftey.
i thought it was quite funny
