Atlas is raising the prices on most of their stuff here very soon, if it's not tomorrow already. I don't know how much it will be going up, but it will be quite a bit. 3 foot is probably an okay heigth. That way you can run it while sitting in a chair too, especially if you get a chair that can roll. Atlas isn't a bad brand for rolling stock for sure, and from what I've heard their locomotives aren't that bad either. Another brand you might want to consider that are a fairly good value is Athearn Blue Box kits. They can usually be picked up for between 7-11 dollars a car. They are kits, which means you have to do some minor assembly, but it isn't a lot and most of the time I actually consider it fun, I enjoy building the cars. They are fairly detailed but aren't overly so, but I find that okay, as the cars are handled a lot anyway and little parts will just break off. Another brand of Cars you might want to consider are the Walthers cars. They are a pretty good quality, well detailed, and most are ready to run. The only bad part I find is the price, as even on sale in the Walthers Catologue they are expensive. But, if you have some extra money and want really good quality, I would say go for it. Keep an eye out in your Walthers Sale Catalog too, sometimes good deals can be found in there. I should know, I order from it through my LHS (To avoid shipping, and they will still honor the price discount) quite often. I'd check and see if your local hobby shop will honor the prices from the Walthers Sales catolag, as it will save you a lot of money on shipping and hobby items. Noah

Went to my first day of school, ho hum, chemistry the teacher told anyone who wasn't going for a career in chem to rethink their options and go into plain science, 10 people weren't there the next day..CALM. Career And Life Management. For a while I thought I was going to be completely alone in there..like in chem..but then a cute girl that I'm freinds with showed up. :-D Then double social....my god that was boring. Felt like elementary school. Colouring in maps with pencil crayons for two periods. Then math. Apparantly I was switched out of it and nobody told me. WTF!!!! I need that to graduate! And then home to reflect on my day over a pile of homework.. AC6000CW, great news! Problem with such a low f-stop is that your depth of field will be like death. I worry about shooting at f2.8! Of course, I'm sure that you'll be shooting a lot of trains with it, and those usually aren't that close, or you're probably in trouble! :-P Ack! Bell soon, gotta go to social...
