QUOTE: Originally posted by Insomniac186 I can't seem to find much info on it other than the fact it is at the Museum of Transportation in St. Louis, and I have only been able to find 3 or 4 pictures. I have been a fan of the GS series since childhood (I am 18, I first saw 4449 at Railfair '91 in Sacramento when I was 5), and I wish I could see 4460 run, even though it mostly did freight & San Jose-San Francisco commuter service and I don't think it was ever a Daylight. I would also like to see it back in the bay area. Does anyone know if it is still operable or if it can be restored? I think it would be really great if it was... Any info would be greatly appreciated! Thanks, Paul

Do you think it would be possible if it could at least be brought to a museum in the bay area like the the Golden Gate Railroad Museum in San Francisco or Santa Clara County Railroad Museum, which is currently looking for a place to build, or even the state museum in Sacramento? That would be really good start. And how could those museums not be interested? It doesn't even look like it is a major attraction at the Museum of Transportation, it's not listed on the website either. But then again I haven't been there so I don't know. I think if it came back to the bay area more people could appreciate it, you know?
