BNSF Railway's New Logo.

  • i havent seen it, i dont know what you are all talking about......?.
  • Could someone post a photo of their logo so we can all know what you're talking about ?
Timothy The gods must love stupid people; they sure made a lot. The only insanity I suffer from is yours. Some people are so stupid, only surgery can get an idea in their heads.
IslandView Railroads On our trains, the service is surpassed only by the view !
  • I like the H3 with yellow letters.

BUT(!!) what would be better is if BNSF dropped the BN and renamed themselves to ATSF and brought back the 2 classic paint schemes!! =) Haha...time to stop dreaming now!
  • My dad and i chased three new GEVOS in the new scheme in montana for about two hours. They are beasts!
  • Even though it looks like they had to scrape the bottom of the garbage pail to find that scheme, it still beats UP.
Ride Amtrak. Cats Rule, Dogs Drool.
  • No comment. What I have to say will be flamed upon for months to come, so it's best to just not post it.
  • Well other than the fact it looks like it was designed by a drunk exuctive of the back of a napkin at some party. It has a comlete lack of heritage to it, if anything it looks futuristic. Now that's just my oppion!
  • Lotus, you said it all. Except I'm not sure how "futuristic" the design is--the bank down the street, various sport companies and diversified manufacturers like Tyco (not the old HO people!) have been using the wedgie logo going on ten years! The logic behind it is not only drunk, it's fossilized.

I enjoyed the "Cascade Green" scheme better. If BNSF was going for a "Speed Letter" scheme, then I'd go with DRGW.

You are so correct S.P. if they wanted that "speed lettering" look, they (BNSF) should have opted for something akin to the "Rio Grande" lettering on D&RGW locos.[8D]
It's not too bad in retrospect but I prefer the H1 scheme.[^]
  • The new logo just adds variety to the bnsf engine lineup.
  • I like the yellow lettering against orange, the slanted black lettering, I belive pictured in the last issue of TRAINS mag, looks "un-locomotive" -like.

futuristic??? you mean flying railroads with that logo in the year 2915?
i personally like the logo, and im not the fondest of the H1 paint scheme. I have an HO scale H2 Dash-9, so i like the H2 and 3. Arrrrrgggg, the H1 looks sick[xx(].
