Install another browser like Firefox and your problem will go away. FYI: It's always good to have an alternative browser when situations like this come up. I mainly use Firefox but have to use IE on occasion when an important pop-up window isn't visible.

Yes, with the new versions of IE, look for an icon near where you enter the URL and there is something that looks like a piece of paper that has been ripped across it. Click that and see if this will help those using the new versions of IE.

With Internet Explorer, regarless of version, if you click on Tools near the upper left hand corner of the screen, then click on Compatibility View, you should be able to post.
I use IE8. I am going to click on a smiley face to see if the smiley face shows up.
