Okay, here's mine.
I was originally supposed to be built by ALCO, but Baldwin underbid and built me instead. Only thing is that ALCO owned the patent for my 3rd cylinder, so Baldwin had to come up with their own devising, which made it so that I had to have a duplicate eccentric gear installed on my engineer's side. Oh, yah, I also ran hot, even though I was assigned to high, cold desert country. And I was one of the most powerful locomotives of my type ever built as far as total Tractive Effort.
Besides that, I wasn't too bad looking, either! There were ten of me. Half of me came with boiler-mounted Elescos, the other half with fireman's side mounted Worthington BL's. I started out in one state, but spent most of my life in another.

Soviet State Railways P-36. Da?
Product of a culture only slightly more terrifying than the one Bill Jeffers ran on the UP when it produced the M-10000.

Da...and used A-bombs in construction projects.
trainfan1221 wrote:Okay I have one. But I hope it's not a disadvantage to people who don't live over this way. A freight locomotive, six axles, one of the first built with 3600 hp from 16 cylinders. Instead equipped with a separate alternator and used to haul commuter trains in the east. Its probably obvious to anybody local. Good luck, probably won't be able to check back for a coupla days but I'm sure it will be figured out.

If MidlandPacific's not going to go, I will.
CNR 2-10-4???
MidlandPacific wrote:CNR U-2 class 4-8-4, 57,000 lbs TE?
That was my original guess as well, because naturally I checked the tender for a road name (I saw the tilted red wafer) but then I noticed that the locomotive was missing an Elesco system on its smokebox. Finally I remembered that the CNR never owned any 4-8-4's in the 6300 series (all were in the 61-6200 series with the exception of five 6400 class streamlined Northerns) and that gave it away, considering that GTW did number it's locomotives in the 6300 series. However it was not uncommon for these locomotives to be seen in southern Ontario and a few may nave been leased over to the CNR for a period of time.
Ghonz
PS Smitty: edit - it is a U-3 series no doubt

Yep, it appears to be in the CN U3 series. Go.
