The February issue of Scale Rails (the NMRA magazine) has an exciting announcement on page 12. The NMRA has received permission to reprint Dean Freytag's book, "The History, Making and Modeling of Steel." Walthers originally published this book a few years ago when they came out with their steel mill buildings. This is a wonderful resource of prototype information and great modeling ideas by a guy who gives a great clinic, and has also written an excellent book on industrial modeling. All the Walthers industry books are good but this one is in a class by itself.
The cost is $47.95 for NMRA members and $65.95 for non NMRA members, plus S&H. Only 750 copies will be printed.
I have seen this book selling for prices not unlike those at swap meets. There is evidently some new written material.
