Not bad, now that I knwo where the smileys are. Now I need to come up with an avatar. SpaceMouse went and used one close to the one I use on another forum hehe - that one there is the little kitty with the sniper rifle. Guess I'll resize the Reading logo from my web page, makes more sense than a kitty sniper here LOL Big Smile [:D]

Font size and color codes work like a lot of other boards I'm on. In fact I think the add-in for Firefox that puts the codes in a right-click menu will work here, have to try that. Oops, I must have unisntalled that one because I never used it. DOH! Still it's easy to change colors at the top. And right back again.

Glad the old posts have made it, looks like everythign is here, Excellent job by the staff (or is the 'staff' just Bergie?). Either way, great job. Like it or not, Snitz was an oddball among forum software.

Hey Phil,

Ive been wondering the same thing. So far I've found that you must enable avatar on your profile page and select the graphic you want. But I'm not sure how small, Ive tried a bunch and they always look fuzzy. Signature picture is 150 pixels high as was told to me earlier on this post and that worked well. Can someone help!!

My question is...

How do you get those photos on the left side of your post? Do they have to be a certain size?

Thanks in Advance!

Very nice design Bergie, re-registration went [blue] AOk,[/blue] I see you have PM ( private message) tab as well as email reply tab, very handy location. Still searching for the [red] HOW TO [/red] tab/location, that would have been nice to have as a tab or under a drop-down menu. I don't miss the stars, the smiley faces, and other adds like BD etc, were nice though, are they hiding somewhere?

Velly intulesting...............  I have been looking and looking for the pull down menu that everyone has been talking about to add smileys.  Nowhere to be found. So, I bring up Firefox, which is my alternate browser.  Still no pulldown menu....  So I bring up my old copy of Icky Exploiter for the Mac.....  No pull down menus there either.  Hmmmm.  While I am trying to figure this out, I get an update message from Firefox.  So, I download and intall it (only takes a minute).  Firefox booted back up by itself, I navigate to the forum, click on reply and whalla!  There is the pulldown menu and the page is formatted a bit different.  So, I guess I will have to use Firefox when I want to do fancy stuff in my posts.  Pain! Disapprove [V]Angry [:(!]    (I prefer using Safari!)

Great so far. I do see one issue and that is the fact that some of us (myself included) have pictures in our signatures which are now cut off.

Other then that....the site looks good!!

Well, I like the new forum's visual appearance.  The re-registration went very smoothly.  Kudoes to Bergie.  Now I have to root around and find out to do the avatar.
Enjoy

Well, It's different.

If they've killed the stars and polls, great.

I would have like a "go to first unread post" feature.

Ok, I have my first real complaint. When you use the "Active Topic" feature--with I almost always use--it doesn't divide massages by forum but throws them all into one big list by time posted. I don't care for that. still overall a thumbs up, however.

Ron

I noticed that too.  There is a drop down box which seems to allow limiting your view to a selected area, but when I chose Model Railroader forums it responded "There are no active posts."  Maybe not working yet.

Joe, I clicked on the menu, but it doesn't go any further than that.  No info on videos coming up.  Maybe the kinks will  work out in the days ahead.
