Of course, if somebody gave you a toilet plunger and you put it on eBay as a hurricane wind-proof hat because you use outdoor plumbing, would you like everybody who knows what it is to laugh at you? (although that would be pretty dang funny).

I mean seriously people... What purpose does this thread serve?

You post a link to a seller, obviously ignorant about trains, just to say "gee what a moron", "he doesn't know what he's talking about", "he writes like a 6 year old..".. Give me a break.

Clicking on a thread is an act of free will. Exercise some and just resist the urge to try to act like my mommy, kay? And what purpose does your thread policing serve? You a junior moderator or something? Lighten up, grow up, whatever.

While I agree that this thread is OT, it still is a lot better than threads discussing "Are you the only child?" Because this one is at least REMOTELY related to model railroading.

If your continued degradation of childishness is a sign of your intellegence and things to come, I think your time here will be short lived, and most thankfully... Don't "manure-up" the place, and no one will get on your case... Simple concept I would think... Now that you have confirmed my clicking on a thread is my free will, so is complaining about it -- or do you have a double standard, Mr. Anonymous?

Here's the deal, bud: I'll post as I please and you have nothing to say about it. Nothing that makes the slightest difference to me anyway. But to complain is your right, so by all means exercise your rights. I'll ask again, are you some kind of junior moderator or what? Don't concern yourself with what I post, it's just not your role. As to the length of my stay, do your powers of observation extend to reading registration dates? I haven't posted much here, but I've read some very informative posts and made a post now and then if I had something to add. Today I posted a reference to an ebay listing I found humorous and apparently you did not. Re-read the first sentence of this post. I've found most internet forums have at least one of your ilk, self appointed and self important arbiters of what is appropriate and what is not. That's what moderators are for. And as to childishness, low intellect, and scheissing up the place, look inward young man, look inward. To impugn the intelligence of someone on a forum like this based on on an exchange as we have had is beyond laughable. Make your oh so indignant retort to this post and then let's just agree not to address each other in the future, sound good to you? - Hiram

I drink in this place every night, have done so for thirty years. The beer is always warm, often outdated, the pretzels are always stale, same to be said of the conversation and that waitress hasn't gotten any better at her job than she has with her looks. Gawd, I really hate this place...... see you guys tomorrow night. [B)]

Same concept as continuously checking a thread you find offensive and posting your inner most feelings twice a day.

Someone start a thread on the biggest joke they've ever seen on the forum. Or save the precious bandwidth and just change the title of this one. [:(]

Funny how some people just have to pu***heir weight around in these forums, bullies I think! [V]

Who cares how much bandwidth is taken up, like it is some kind of non-renewable resource. [:O]

Freewill my friends! If you know a certain thread is not to your liking, then don’t click on it, save some bandwidth or something like that, huh!

Have fun….

Cheers,

I stand by my statements, quite obviously, I'm not the one throwing my weight around in an ill manner...

Considering this comes up almost daily and continues in such denegrating and condescending manner, do these threads really serve a purpose??

It would be more appropriate if he paid me $4.00 (+ shipping and handling) to take it off his hands...(it might make a nice flower pot or train chia pet).....chuck

Wow! I think a chill pill is in order. It only started as a fun post to see something ridiculous on Ebay. Can't we just have some fun with it? It would have been already buried by now.

What kind of idiot would even take the time to sell those 2 cars. Obviously no one will buy those. As mentioned earlier it's as joke to be selling those.

I think it is especially amusing when a forum member e-mails the MR staff in regards to their desire to become moderators yet cannot keep from openly engaging other forum members in confrontation.

Looking at his other "auctions", I'm inclined to say he goes to garage sales and the like, and discount stores, buys cheap junk, and then tries to peddle it on eBay for large coin.

Don't laugh, someone I worked with said "If you nail two boards together and wait long enough, someone will buy them."

Everybody pile on with the ad-hominems... Real classy... Just like this thread from the start..... Nuttin' but class and real mature!

How dare I blaspheme in this sacred place!

BTW, smitty, that offer was withdrawn ages ago - if you can't beat 'em, join 'em...

I'm sure the piling on will continue... My original post on page 1 was not directed or flaming anybody.... Yet, cause I blasphemed...Oh the shame..

What do we say we let this go now? Or would anyone like to CONTINUE proving my point for me...?

Well at least the starting bid isnt $50, seen stupid stuff go for even stupider starting bids and end on even stupider-er final cost.

At least no one has been dumb enough to bid on it!

YET

   Have fun with your trains

David,

Just a suggestion. If you have a problem with this topic, then I suggest that you drop Bergie an email and tell him about it. He will certainly make the determination if it’s something that should continue or not.

I think that all this back-and-forth arguing is not solving anything, and is only making this topic much worse than you first thought it was.
