This is the one I was thinking of. At first I didn't even recognized it as a 4-4-0, because I am so used to the 1880s style.

I'll second that Missabe M4. By PCM. Gotta be diecast for power.

1. Amtrak SDP40F (non brass model)
2. GE U36B (SCL, Auto-Train, Family Lines, Penn Central, CSX)
3. GE U18B (SCL, Maine Central, Family Lines, CSX, MdeM)
4. A version of the GG-1 with the modified air louvers (Amtrak Silver/Red/Blue, PC, PRR)

2. and 3. I mentioned the paint schemes those units wore. I am personally interested in SCL, Family Lines and Auto-Train.

I also would buy FL-9's and Baldwin Centipedes (Seaboard Air Line).

Carl in Florida - - - - - - - - - - We need an HO Amtrak SDP40F and GE U36B oh wait- We GOT THEM!

I GUARANTEE that won't happen since Atlas makes one.

Early Phase GP39-2s, like the ones that ATSF had and sold to Willamette & Pacific/Portland & Western RR.

Preferably Atlas quality...and...sigh....with sound.

Let's see if we can get the price of sound down please!

Wow! I didn't know the list would get so long. Some great wish list locos. I wrote to BLI about considering making an F-12 4-4-0 and I received a nice reply. They said while they had no immediate plans for that engine, they would consider it in the future. I suppose it's a pat answer but courteous nonetheless.

It's interesting that I see more requests for steam locomotives here than I do elsewhere - but then I see most of these threads over at the Atlas HO forum - and they don't do HO steam.

Brass, resin and white metal kits of many popular steam engines still in excursion service. I'd buy 'em, but I think I'm in a minority.

Good choices there!!
You got that right. Overland does make these but they are HIGH DOLLAR!!
Now we need to see these in plastic. I have both of these units not the passenger cars (those cars would cost me my summers pay) but I would like to see something other than brass.

N Scale PRR K4 Pacific!!!

After all, HOers get to choose between Bowsr, Bachmann, BLI, and now MTH for their K4! All we have in N is 30-year-old Minitrix K4s.

Yeah!! [yeah] The Z6, Z7, or Z8 would do.  An unlettered Challenger doesn't come with single stacks, so you can't even fudge.  Dream, Dream.

Any manufacturers out there paying attention to all the requests for an Northern pacific 4-6-6-4? Or will the next Challenger be yet another Union pacific?  They can be lettered for Sp&S or GN, too.

Or even a Western Maryland 4-6-6-4.

More 4-4-0's, 4-6-0's and engines of that nature in QSI or ESU Sound will be very welcome indeed. That Roundhouse 4-4-0 is a first but we need more small engines.

Ive decided that the old Roundhouse Boxcabs are so cool as they need to be made once again, with DCC and Sound. Some things they should never stop making.

I also second the Memphis's request for a 45 Ton Engine. Those will be useful.

More saddle tank engines too.

And finally.. can we have a Dockside 0-4-0 that is NOT a 30-50 year old design? One that is fully operational with sound and dcc?

The NJT ALP-46 loco from Atlas, NJT PL-42AC loco from Atlas or PCM, NJT Comet cabs and coaches of all types I II III IV V VI (VI is double deck) from ANY manufacturer Walthers makes Comet I's, but the decals provided for coaches are wrong (the number slot is from another series) the cabs are almost correct (sort of some window details are wrong, and some numbers dont exist).
Go NJT, NJ Transit, New Jersey Transit. Whatever you call it its good. See my pictures and videos here: http://s239.photobucket.com/albums/ff20/Bapouthetrainman/

Garry,

If you want both NP and S, P, & S, I believe that you would need a Z6 or Z8.  If they made an unlettered single-stacked Challenger, we could make that work.  I do not know about GN though.

Yes, you are correct.  The NP is the only Hill Line that really used the Challenger Class big time.  The GN had exactly 2.  They were Z6 class and they didn't like them, so they sent them to the SP&S.  The SP&S liked them so much they ordered 4 more Z6s and two Z8s for a total of 8.  In fact the SP&S was so impressed with the Alco brand they became loyal Alco customers even for diesels.
