Why such a heavy western bent? There are only 2 roads from east of the Mississippi. My favorite class 1s are Reading Company, Central Railroad of New Jersey, and Pennsylvania-Reading Seashore Lines.

I have many favorites among the short and narrow roads. Too many to list, and all my narrow gauge favorites are eastern. Like the Tuscarora Valley, the Newport and Sherman's Valley, the Diamond Valley, the Ohio River and Western, the Cairo and Kanawha, and all of the Maine 2 footers.
