Concord, NC. That's about halfway between Charlotte, NC and the old Southern Railways Spencer Shops (now the NC Transportation Museum) for those outside the Carolinas. [:D]

Looks like I'm the only Okie in here so far. I'll bet my town's smaller than yours though--pop. 560 Well at least that's the town I'm closest to.

Hey Medina1128! I did the opposite of you. I lived in Kansas and moved out here to get away from the winters. You're right about having basements back there for a layout compared to not having them here.

yep i can undertand that chuck , the only thing that is keeping me here is this job of mine.( Probably one of the best in town) so i'm stuck. Heck i think i am the only model railroader here[}:)] LOL . I couldnt stand to live in a huge town ( never have) so i dont blame you. And can undertand the habit. Mine is growing day to day just by luck tho i'm too lost and unskilled in this hobby to go ny further than i have but ,wow if i had it i'd be going DCC, and kickin a kid outta room [:D][:D] just kidding [:p]

yep...its a long way from Del Rio...had to move to a place where there are good jobs..I would have never made it in San Antonio....don't like living in (or near) Houston because it's people on top of people and the traffic stinks most of the time, but the job pays real good...Have a hungry MRR habit to feed...[;)] chuck

It's really kind of hard to support your local hobby shop when the nearest hobby shop that's worth the name is a 150 mile roundtrip.
