How about an N scale Alco switcher? Either a DCC ready version of the Arnold S-2 or a totally new shell and power mechanism made by a different manufacturer.

Sign - Ditto [#ditto] And again for 2007.   I wonder how much of the new Hiawatha by Walthers would go with it?   We are getting tons of passenger trains, but none of them are the steam era versions.

In N Scale

MicorAce should reissue its C56 steam loco (or another Japanese manufacturer should issue a C56

A British manufacturer should do a limited run of the made- for-export steam locos by Kitson and other companies that ended up in Southeast Asia, Australia, New Zealand, Africa and South America. They resemble standard UK steam loco but are different. (i.e there are a large number of 4-6-2s made for export but the closet models available arte 4-6-0s

OH and non loco items I would like to have would be a nice set of Walthers heavy weight and light weight passenger cars painted in N&W paint so I can make my Powatan Arrow with the correct cars, and other nice looking N&W passenger trains behind my BLI Class J 611

Kato needs to re-release the HO scale SD40-2s and make sure to have a few different NS #'s other roads are good too I just want to see some NS stuff.

BLI needs to bring back the N&W 1218.

and ALL manufacturers need to make their trains available for more than 1 week!!! most of us dont have the money to buy all the locos of one type that we want at one time but that is the only way we will ever get them. Take the Atlas Dash-8CW that just came out last month. It is gone in the Pensacola FL and Norfolk VA areas already and none of the LHSs here or there can get them now. It just came out!!! I only had the money for one of the gold series but I would love to get another 2 silver series to be in a consist with the other.

Keep locos on the shelves for longer that is my biggest wish for 2006 and every year to come.

I'm hoping to pick up 2 of the N scale N&W GP18s and 2 undecorated ones as well for my freelanced road. I'm also eyeing up Kato's new BN SD40-2s, to paint into a lease fleet unit. I also heard that Walthers has a new top secret N scale car that will be annonced soon. The only info I got was that it has never been offered before in N, but they have offered it in HO. Waffle Side Box Car maybe?

I'd like to see in HO an ALCO C636, an S-6, an improved SD40T-2, and an RS-32! I'm in no big hurry for them to show up this year or next, just sometime in the near future. We are getting pretty spoiled with all the HO production out there, enjoy it while you can.

What I really wanted for this year so very bad and actually just purchased the beautiful HO SD70ACe Union Pacific Flag unit by Overland Models. It only cost me $739 and I paid about 50% down which was $350 on it so far and will pay the remainder in a week or two. I cant wait for this baby to come home to daddy.

I was juggling between the regular unit and the Bush one but I want the regular one more and it really says UP on it unlike the Air Force one color unit. Oh and I am not a Bush fan, Although the unit is pretty hot looking.

My next wish list which I will buy is the BUsh SD70ACe when tower 55 produces them in Summer of this year (so they say)

HO - Canadian National GMD-1. One of the most "Canadian" of diesels, and very common for many decades, yet never offered in inexpensive RTR model.

Northern Pacific 4-8-4. The first Northern !! Yet never modelled except in brass$$.

Canadian Pacific "Royal Hudson" and / or Canadian National 4-8-4 (6060) - both of these types of engines have been restored to use in fantrip service, so could be used in layouts from the 30's-40's up to today.

I want what Aggro wants!!
Besides that, it looks like a 2-10-2 year for steamers, what with BLI promising that their Santa Fe will be out sometime this month (after a YEAR!!), and both IHC and Spectrum 2-10-2's already on the market. Haven't made up my mind which one I'll get, but probably the BLI ATSF, since they were such handsome (and noisy) critters. Though I've got to admit that the IHC looks incredibly kit-bashable, and the Spectrum Missabe Road version just looks delicious.
Heck with it, maybe I'll get all three.

I'm going to have to ditto Sean on all of the above, but most important would be the Kato SD70M in HO. Either with OR without flares.

The one thing I would really enjoy this year, hopefully for my b-day :-) Would be Atlas's new AC4400 locomotives. They have some pretty awesome features. I would be happen with any engine that fits my era I guess!

How about a CN MLW M420 (safety cab) in plastic by Intermountain, Proto 2000, Stewart/Bowser or Atlas?
