I have an 03 Mustang GT in Zinc Yellow. Lowered 1.5", 4.10 gears, Steeda Tri-Ax shifter, aluminum drive shaft, Accufab 75mm upper intake and throttle body, K&N filter, SLP Loud Mouth exhaust (it is very loud), Cobra wheels, and a Diablo Predator to tune it.

My dream car would be to get my first car, 1969 Ford Torino w/428CJ. I remember bringing that one home and my dad saying " let me see your license, because the cops will have it pretty soon".

I just bought an Audi Quattro yesterday, a very rare 1985 model with only about 20 left running in the UK, the engine sound's ACE, it's a big five cylinder model, do any of you remember the late 1980's when John Buffam, Michelle Mouton and Walter Rholl won the Pikes Peak hill climb in Quattro's, the sound of these 600 bhp machines roaring up hill was Bloody fantastic, pardon the french.

I haven't bought a car yet but I was looking at one of those Chevy Cobalts. They seem like a nice car.

My dream car would be a 1971 Hemi Cuda Converetible. With Plum Crazy paint w/ a white interior, and steelie wheels and dog dish hub caps. To bad I'll never get one since the go for over $1million.

I've currently got two "classic" Mopars- a 69 Charger that needs a lot, and a 54 M37 Dodge military 4x4 that is waiting for me to rebuild the motor. My so has a 73 Duster for his first car.
In the past- another 69 Charger, a 71 Charger and a 73 Charger, a 69 GTX, and a 70 Coronet convertable- should have kept them all!

Mine would have to be either a Bowler Wildcat (race-spec 4x4 using a mix of Land Rover parts and others) or to finish modifying my current wheels, a 1996 Land Rover Discovery TDI. Has the manual gearbox and no annoying electronics, so far I've fitted a single-silencer exhaust and it's getting BFG A/T tyres soon. I'd like to add the 2.8 TDI engine (stock is 2.5) and uprated suspension along with the usual extras (snorkel, winch, steering/diff guards, etc). End result would be a 10 year old truck that could scare the living daylights out of a new BMW!

I've had tons of muscle cars over the years. 4 Mustangs (my first car, a '66, a '70 Mach 1, a '74, and a '78), a '70 & a '72 Callenger both with a 340 magnum and a slap stick, a '71 Cuda with a 440 and dual quads on a tunnel ram and slap stick (with those fatties on the back I could pull the front wheels off the ground in first and second gear!), a '71 Demon with a 340, '75 Duster with a 318, a '69 Dodge Polara with a 440 Police Interceptor engine (an ex California high speed pursuit car!), 2 '57 Chevies (one with a Corvette 327 and a 4 speed and the other with a 427 and an automatic), a '65 Buick Skylark convertible, 1 '79 Trans Am (dated my wife in this car), a '72 Torino with a Boss 302 engine dropped in, and the one I just sold, a '68 Camaro SS with a 350 bored .30 over and stroked (this thing was blindingly quick, when you could get it to hook up) that pushed out 560 horsepower.

I've also dabbled in some sports cars and even a couple of 4x4's. I've had a '68 Jeeb Commando that had a 4 inch lift on the axles and some huge nubby tires (this thing would climb the side of a house), and some buddies of mine came over one weekend to build a beater out of parts I had scrounged and we built a '73 El Camino on a '69 GMC 4x4 frame with a 350 and 4 inch lift on the body and another 4 inch lift on the axles and then slapped some 44 inch unidirectional monster mudder tires on it and mad one heck of a beast out of it. I've also been fortunate enough to own a '71 Fiat 850 sport spyder and I'm getting ready to buy a '73 Porsche 914.

I've also owned a few others that weren't so interesting. Chevetts, Pinto's (although one of my 3 Pinto's was a short track roundy round racer, that was fun), a '79 T-Bird, and a few others.

anything wearing the mopar logo is kool. i once got a ride in a 69 charger. hemi orange. the guy had a house full of dukes of hazard models. the tiers spun like krazy giong into 2nd gear. ill take my challenger in FLAT BLACK with alumninum slot rims, straight pipes(beautiful sound) and no intirior.
im currently building a model of a 69 super bee. its flat black. (the perfect color for me)
your son is lucky! im looking forwards to my dads 1998 toyota tacoma. [xx(][V][:(][*^_^*][sigh] atleast there a challenger(bad shape) and a roadrunner(ok shape) in my area to dream about.

1941 H international tractor, not a car--but still a showpiece.
and my daily driver, an 84 dodge half-ton. I know what you're thinking, but if you heard it and drove it you'd understand.

Except for a couple of beater Fords, I've owned nothing but Mopars
My current rides are a 98 2.5L Stratus & a 2003 PT Cruiser.

The coolest car I've owned, besides the Cruiser, was my 1977 Dodge Aspen R/T
318 with a factory 4 sp man transmission.

I've never had a muscle car but my dream car is a 66 or 67 Dodge Charger.

Dave, BTW, I loved that body on the Firebirds.

...some nice cars around....my cousin (not into trains but dragged around the Boston area model trains stores when I visit) has a very kewl 1966 Chevvy and last year bought an ex-police Harley Davidson which he took to pieces and had customised.....

Me, earlier this year I bought a new Mercedes A-Class - Jupiter Red - very nice....and a lot better than the original Series A which had an argument with a Swedish reindeer and lost.

One of my earlier cars was a Triumph 2.5 Twin-Carb converted from a PI - again a nice shade of red!! Only had the car for six months - was just about to take it over to Europe to give it a blast down the motorway between Rotterdam and Antwerp when the bank I was working for (Manufacturers Hanover Trust - a fallen NY flag!!) transferred me to Tokyo!! Dad was quick to make an offer for the Triumph and enjoyed it a lot longer than I did!!

Got hooked on automatic cars in the US when years ago I rented a wierd spacecraft-looking car (can't remember the model name) whilst on vacation....and have never driven a manual car since!!

I used to have a nice car, a '64 Cadillac Sedan de Ville that I had mostly restored, but it was sold long ago (more money for trains). Great question. I really like my dad's truck - a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee with 4 wheel drive, the biggest V8 available, mudder tires, and a 2 inch or so lift to come! It is a great off roader and train chser! We have had it in over 2 feet of water, up steep hills, and muddy to the point where you cannot tell what color it is. And for a jeep, its pretty fast.

My dream truck is a Dodge Ram Power Wagon--

I have enjoyed some nice cars over the years. But Heavy Trucks are in the blood.

One car I owned was a Ford 71 Model Torino GT. It had a 351 M bored out, headers, 750 CFM Holley Dual pump, High riser from Eldebrock (Spelling?) and glasspack exhaust. It was never any good on the line or on the 1/4 but the top end was always kicking and could run with most cars except some really beefy supercars (Lamborghnini Diablo for example)

I sold it after one winter destroyed the wiring thru rust and there was a bit too much ... activity by the local barracks dedicated to Traffic enforcement (And they should be =)

The car was rated 126 mph at Factory, Ive had it close to 135 only to be crippled by a "Jitter" or Chatter in the ignition system that occured at about 5100 RPM with the red line being somewhere 5700. I planned to place a "Hotter" ignition that was capable of operating faster than the stock coil but never did get around to it. Just as well because the peak was between 3400-4800 RPM. (Or 50-110 mph on a C4 Tranny)

I was a wild and somewhat ruthlessly fast driver in my day only caring about tractive force on the curves versus the braking required for some of the sharper ones. I am much more "Mellowed" and thank god for it. I used Michelins I think was 220 or 225's on 14" rims with a 70 Aspect. They were medium to hard tires with a high speed rating and good tractive ability. On par with what the state police was using for thier cars at the time.

I work with cars part time and occasionally treat myself to a blast now and again. Some are outright junkers and others well... they are dreams. My Modern favorite happens to be the Chrysler 300 with the 340 Horse power plant. I think that car is my ideal when you consider top end, gross weight and good comfort. ($45,000 for one brand new I think... never can own one)

Oh Yeah, Had one of those too!
It was my driver while going to college, what a fun car! Added a small 4 barrel and could chirp the tires in 2nd... Worst thing was the aluminum 4 spds. they used- I trashed three in 2 years. Finally put in a cast iron 833 and had more fun!

I also enjoyed some nice cars in my life. My first set of wheels was a DragMaster chassis with a fuel injected/blown Hemi in the mid '60. Then in succession, '56 Olds Super 88 convertable w/'57 Police Special engine, '66 Mustang coup w/Hi-Perf 289, '69 Dodge Charger 383 W/ dual Holly 750 cfm's, '72 Mercury Capri w/V6 engine, '73 Dodge B200 Van W/383 - Customized, '83 Mazda B2000 Pick-up - customized, '85 Chrysler LeBaron LE Turbo, '89 Corvette Coup W/Lingenfelter 383 conversion, 2001 Chrysler PT Cruiser Limited Edition and I had to cancel a order on another Corvette - 2001 Convertable (due to Tech Bubble burst and forced early retirement). I still have the Dodge Van, Corvette and the PT Cruiser (and the new C6 Z06 'Vette sure looks tempting[:D]).
