Not a dam thing wrong with a Ford Tom. I'll tell ya a little fact. 95.8% of ALL Ford trucks built since 1986 are still on the road running. 98.8% of all Ford Diesel trucks built since 1986 are still running. Pretty impressive if you ask me. That's why there's a Power Stroke in my driveway.

I'm restoring a 1969 MGB GT. So far, I've had the engine rebuilt, the rust removed, and the entire car repainted. Next job includes redoing the interior, and putting it back together. It was originally my uncle's car from new..Dad bought it in '79, and I took it over in 2004.

Here is more info: http://www.geocities.com/su_carbs/mg/

As of now, I can't seem to find an HO scale model of this car :(

Gearhead,
[8D]Daimler-Chrysler has a retro spin on the Dodge Challenger for the show circuit. One of the current issue mags is speculating that D-C may actually bring it to production. Alledged D-C thinking is that with the runaway success of latest Mustang maybe the market will support another "pony" car. Hmm, per Mr. Berra: "Deja Vu all over again." [:D]

do you know where i can find a pic of it? I MUST SEE IT!

They're pretty common over here in cities - also popular to tow behind an RV. Fuel economy isn't that great though - you can buy a turbo-diesel car with more space inside (Smart is strictly a 2-seater with limited luggage, though there are four door versions available) and a more usable engine. Diesel gives you buckets of torque and is very relaxed to drive - no screaming revs needed to get it moving unlike some of the smaller petrol-engined vehicles. You can have a comfortable mid-sized car with ample power that returns 55mpg, no matter how you drive it!

I was also looking into a new Mustang GT Convertable for my wife. I drove one for the day and can say that is really supprised me. It wouldn't get out of it's own way. 300HP, give me a break. It did sound good, but other then that I couldn't wait to return it. It is by far the biggest piece of junk Ford has made. My wifes Cadillac STS would outrun it. Common Ford, step up to the plate[V]

Turbine,
They(Ford) maybe getting into the batter's box. Hmm, marketing guys say we need something between the Mustang GT and the Ford GT. People are so price sensitive. [swg]
Again, one of the current mags (R&T?) has a Shelby Mustang on the cover. Guess Carrol's name has more market recognition than Rousch or Saleen.

I have a '99 Mustang GT Convertible, triple black with a 5 speed manual. And for light hauling (mostly kids and bikes) I keep a Taurus wagon. Surprisingly I really enjoy the wagon and it's a great winter car. Thinking about ebaying the Mustang pretty soon and then buying a new 05/06.

And the factory warranty is looong gone. [:D]

Actually, not necessarily. They would have to prove that the modifications made would have caused the failure (Magnuson-Moss act). That doesn't mean I wouldn't get hassled, as we know how service departments CAN be. But I have never had a problem, and the standard warranty ends this year anyway. [;)]

Oh Yeah, Had one of those too!
It was my driver while going to college, what a fun car! Added a small 4 barrel and could chirp the tires in 2nd... Worst thing was the aluminum 4 spds. they used- I trashed three in 2 years. Finally put in a cast iron 833 and had more fun!

I ended up puting a 340 cam in mine, adding a Thermoquad 4BBL, a 4BBL intake off s 73 340, & dropping the cat with a Walker Y pipe that went right to the muffler.
The only thing I needed to do was drop the 2.72 gears for something along the lines of say 3.55 & I might have gotten chirps in 2nd.
Unfortunately, rot got the better of the car before I could fix it.

Also, BTW, I have a 1/87 1966 Dodge Charger from Classic Metal Works for my layout

I've been looking for an HO Lotus 7 S1 or 18, as they would fit the era I'm modeling and since we work a block from the tracks , I could even sneak in the shop.
Fantasy car? If i hit the lottery, a Lotus 72 F1. [:D] J.R.

Here's mine. 2004 F250 Super Duty Power Stroke 4X4. It's plain here, but now has Confederate flame graphics on the sides, and back window. It has 4" Gale Banks Monster Exhaust, an Airiad intake and Diablo Sport's hand held tuner. It constantly averages over 21MPG.

I also enjoyed some nice cars in my life. My first set of wheels was a DragMaster chassis with a fuel injected/blown Hemi in the mid '60. Then in succession, '56 Olds Super 88 convertable w/'57 Police Special engine, '66 Mustang coup w/Hi-Perf 289, '69 Dodge Charger 383 W/ dual Holly 750 cfm's, '72 Mercury Capri w/V6 engine, '73 Dodge B200 Van W/383 - Customized, '83 Mazda B2000 Pick-up - customized, '85 Chrysler LeBaron LE Turbo, '89 Corvette Coup W/Lingenfelter 383 conversion, 2001 Chrysler PT Cruiser Limited Edition and I had to cancel a order on another Corvette - 2001 Convertable (due to Tech Bubble burst and forced early retirement). I still have the Dodge Van, Corvette and the PT Cruiser (and the new C6 Z06 'Vette sure looks tempting[:D]).
