Halt of Shipment Notice

Due to a catastrophic wreck on the newly constructed upper pass, the annual shipment of "Santa's Christmas Coal" will not be shipped.

The wreck was a result of faulty ballast which resulted in the Double headed train leaving the rails. 601 Challenger derailing on the "Gut" bridge and the Allegheny plunging 50' into the Bone Yard. The result of this resulted in the 50 car train of 34' hoppers and 70 ton Ballast cars racing down a 6% double "S" curve line for a considerable length.

When asked as to what the outcome of the wreck was the CEO was heard saying...

"What a M.E.S.S."[:I]

Updates to follow.

Fergie

I'll be able to do your concrete ties. I will grind up the rocks later and send to you. How many cars do you want? If you want a contract I'll build a building to mass produce them.

Attention all -
I'm in need of a small shipment of concrete and plastic ties for a trial basis. If they work well, I may want to enter into a contract with said supplier(s) for retrofitting my yard with them.

Hunter - When we met in January of 2000, you were just a 6 week old pup who walked his way into this heart of mine as the only runt in the litter who would come over to me. And today, I sit here and tell you I am sorry we had to put you down. It was the best thing for you and also the right thing to do. May you now rest in peace and comfort. Love, Dad. 8 June 2010

ok so recieved an email from Catepillar Heavy equipment stating that the contract is a go for after xmas and that they will send me what is going to be shipped and when its coming, the email stated that there will be roughly 30-50 loaded flatbed cars full of parts and assembled and partly assembled equipment so just a heads up and to make some peoples holiday enjoy.

Also i will be in talks with Volvo Heavy Equipment after the holiday for more equipment shipments so every one have a great holiday.

I have expanded my small production of Kubota Tractor account to enable servicing of two other shops who needs parts. At this time I see 6 Boxcar loads (PER customer) per week. So the first two providers of heavy equiptment who needs parts and inventory who asks for it will get 6 Boxcars each per week. I have set out a total of 12 boxcars for this service.

Finally I am seeking a steel mill to provide me with 4 flat load's of 16 inch steel plate to be used as targets weekly.

Hey CW, GDRMB can do the rebuilding for you in 2 weeks per 2 peices of equipment. Just send em to Townsville Port and we'll do the rest.
O and if anyone is in need of new locomotives to meet EPA Tier II emission standards we currently offer 3 models, a small 3500hp unit, a larger 4400hp unit and a 6000hp unit, all six-axle road switchers.

Nick, make sure you do let us go what you'll have for heavy equipment. In Rivermoor, there is a new quarry going in(the buildings are going up over the winter to they can start mining right away in the spring) that needs a couple of front end loaders, backhoes, and bulldozers.

Nick: you were slightly off the mark on locale. However not to worry I finally found a downloadable map of Nova Scotia! Though I prefer the posted version.

On the F7's, are they ballasted or "light"? I have an old bridge that needs light-footed engines and these might be perfect. If so, I'd take all of them, even the dead ones for "parts".

Next week, in anticipation of our 44 tonner returning, we expect to send 2 of 4 RS3's for overhaul. Upon their return, the next 2 will ship out. Afterward, we will look into our F units.

Please note the correct spelling is TWCEnterprises, no "o".

Geographically, I don't cover QUITE that much territory. My line runs from Gainesville north to Cleveland, and branches off to Dahlonega. About 55 miles of track.

LSIModeler

What kind of cabooses you got? We still use 'em. As for the "all-door", well, they can be great starting points for all kinds of conversions (Southern Railway had bunches of them and converted nearly all of them into various other things; pulpwood racks, coil cars, you name it.)

JPowell

OK, the gons have been pulled from the interchange track, we will ship out the first batch of treated crossties on New Year's Weekend, for arrival on or around the third of Jan.

Nice maps.

Here is mine.

I moved the Wheeling Interchange to Cumberland Md due to excessive hog law problems.

http://img482.imageshack.us/img482/8742/fallsvalleyrailroadrouting8pm.jpg

I could not get it to come up properly due to the URL getting trashed by it's long length on this post box.

In my fictional railroad that I have planned in HO scale, the trains will come out of staging (Interchanges) and go to the main yard. There they get sorted into locals to serve several towns that do the pick ups and set outs. Traffic that are bridge traffic simply go thru with Helper service or even fuel/water stop.

Enjoy

Nick, as far as my map goes, you are close, your in the right state, but you made the ARK look more like an empire then it really is. It’s a shortline, so my track age is basically a dot on a map as big as you have. I run between Appleton and Oshkosh WI, by way of a little neighborhood called Rivermoor. If were to draw a line between Green Bay and Oshkosh WI, you would be close enough. If you made a “C” from Appleton, WI, around the lake that it there, and down to Oshkosh WI, you would be even closer yet.

Also note that we are technically part of the Wisconsin and Southern Railroad. So, if you see this map: http://www.wsorrailroad.com/images/sysmap3a.gif, you will note that Oshkosh is at the end of the WSOR’s line. If you add a line North from Oshko***owards the top of Winnebago county, this would be considered the fictional ARK line. If you want to rough out the whole WSOR system too you can, as it is technically part of the ARK, but just the line from Oshko***o Green Bay described in the last paragraph would be good enough.

Noah

P.S. I got to get me Google earth, it sure looks like it would work well for things like route planning.....
