i might wait on an engine- i am in dire need of freight cars- but i'm kinda leaning toward an Atlas GP40 death star or a P2K GP38-2 BNSF- i want some Athearn "well" cars for my intermodal trains http://www.athearn.com/Search/Default.aspx?SearchTerm=56'+Well+RTR&CatID=THRF

I've got 3 running engines-but i only have 10-15 freight cars that are in running condition-the C&NW GP38 rear truck fell apart today and i'm missing a bearing- i don't want to order a bearing (from Athearn)as it looks like they come in packs of 12- i was thinking of retiring it soon anyway--- i hope to try my first weathering tomorow. I have some rust/dirt colored spray paint and a TYCO engine shell to practice on ----------------i just noticed somthing- we (icmr and dingoix) are about the only ones that post here- and we don't talk Illinois Central-- this topic RULES!

yes i'll gladly post pics of my weathering- if it looks good i'll post a pic of the engine shell that i'm gonna practice on- i want to post a few pics of the b-b GP38-2 too. -- i may get a flashlight and look around on the floor for the GP35 bearing- once i found the bearings for my U33C on the floor---- if i'm satisfied w/ my weathered shell i'll do a few freight cars- if i get good at weathering i'd like to weather a few engines- maybe the U33C and the GP38-2
