I belive you are right dingoix. The rest you have to buy from other railroads and repaint and decal ( and rebuild if necessary )[;)][;)][8D][8D].

for new engines there's not too many death star's out there. Atlas GP40 and Genesis SD70 are the only ones i can think of.

I think the engine you are looking for is a GP10 or a GP11.

In the next month or so I'm going to add another 4'x8' to my layout to make it 4'x20' While i won't have another industry or yard i'll take the first step to double tracking the mainline. I'll put a passing siding on the outside which will go all the way around the mainline on part of the layout. When I switch to DCC and eliminate the powerpack, switch controls, and toggle switches I'll completey Double-track it. (It'd be hard to run two trains w/ DC anyway, but it would be posssible)-- I'll get an old b-b at the LHS and after i make sure it runs i'll order some decals and paint it.

http://www.trains.com/Content/Dynamic/Articles/000/000/000/201jglug.asp I found this review of the Atlas GP40. It doesn't list IC as a roadname but i think it's the same one.

Thanks a bunch- one last question- do i need Dullcote or something to seal the decals?
I'm hoping to get 2 b-b GP38-2's and paint them DEATH STAR and of course, I'll turn to the "present" IC roster on your site to determine the road#s

Yes that is how the engines are painted and no you dont have to cut the death star out in a perfect circle and I didnt order the decals. Maybe you can find the GP35 instead of the GP9M. There are two different sizes for either freight cars of some of the GP units since the Death Star was lower on the nose.

i guess i can't get the GP9M #9174 either i don't think she was scrapped, but it was sold http://www.illinoiscentral.net/rosters/IC9174.html- but then again i'm running a U33C #5056 that was scrapped by IC in 1984

Actually there might be a b-b IC GP35 sitting in the LHS right now. I know there are plenty of old b-b's there. Did you get your decals? I have another question about them- They must be clear but would i have to cut out the DEATH STAR in a pefect circle? Also there are 2 sizs of DEATH STAR decals. Why? Also a quick review- a death star is all black w/ the road # about halfway down the long hood and "ILLINOIS CENTRAL" under each cab window and a DEATH STAR on the front of the engine. Correct?
Thanks, dingoix

You might find another GP35 dingoix. Ive looked at the GP9m but it is one that I cant use on my layout since Im modeling Illinois Central in 1996. Im happy you got the piece out of the female universal.
