EMD GP38-2 the athearn b-b's are amazing pullers considering the are only 4 axle(but all wheel drive) the real ones were one of the best selling loco's of all time and most are still in service today but i don't think BNSF uses many of them for freight hauling anymore[V]

My Atlas C-424s. CP units with full multimark, one with candy stripes and the other with 8" nose stripes. Great details, runs like a cloud, need I say more?

My pick is my GP-38 Southern. It is an Atlas made in Austria in the late 70's, I found it at a yard sale for $12.00. Most reliable loco I have.

Mine would have to be my Genesis UP3985 Challenger. I would like it even better if I could get my hands on some UP excursion passeger cars.

Hmmm. That's like asking which is your favorite of your children. They all have things that make me love them, they're individuals with quirks, foibles, strengths and all.

Right now, tonight, it's my BLI T-1 4-4-4-4, one of my newest and the subject of much infatuation at the moment. Tomorrow it might be my Shay or maybe my little Rivarossi Heisler. Later this week, maybe I'll get nostalgic and be into my Varney 4-6-2 - the first complex non-plug-and-play decoder install I ever pulled off... Shall I go through the other 35-odd locos or stop here... ?

Mine would have to be the UP 2-8-8-2 I'm buying in the near future if that counts. Otherwise, I'd have to say my WP 2-8-2 Mikado.

Not the best photos I've ever taken but they are currently online..

Steam- Hallmark Wabash O-1 4-8-4.. Painted, lettered, and weathered by me.. Sountraxx installed. (forgive the fake foam coal load, trying to decide if I want it heaping full or only partially full).

[image]http://www.rolleiman.com/trains/2907.jpg[/image]

Diesel- Intermountain shell on a Stewart chassis, one of a 3 piece set custom painted by yours truely.. [:D]

[image]http://www.rolleiman.com/trains/wab11041mod.jpg[/image]

Favorites only because I've put so much time into them..

I think that you are right, I think I read that one is in ottowa, and I'm not sure about the other, but I'm sure it's in Canada. Personally, I prefer the T1cs. Streamlined Selkirks.
Little fact: The 4-8-4s and the 2-10-4s used the same boiler!

My PFM 3 truck Shay. My wife gave it to me for Christmas decades ago. I can't even bring myself to paint it because of the memories of seeing it for the first time.

I also like my Sierra. Also great memories from the 60's

Trainboy: the other 4-8-4 is in Regina, Saskatchewan at the Ipsco plant (which, by the way, melted down tons of old locomotives to make pipe) ironic????
