Geezzz....... cut the kid a break. You know I ,like others read all sorts of post regarding anything trains and model railroading. With that said, give the kid some slack,he's trying.
This is to though's of you ,who are whinning about Keiths posting's. Grow up!!!!!! . You guys sound like a bunch of whinning babies, if you don't like what someone post or your not gonna lose sleep over it don't reply. I have a 13 year old son, and I wish I could get my son into this hobby. Hummmmm......my boy into this hobby, you know I have a better chance of buying a real NS SD80MAC.

P.S The coffee shop is for the old people, whinning about bowel movements and such. This is why ,I don't belong to the coffee shop club. I'm not that old yet.

Not that you truly bothered me, but I will repeat myself, this did happen over on the Garden Railways thread. That evolved into a topic about multiple coffee shops, which progress into a flame war. I've been in a few of these myself, and they just take away from the fun of the forum, so I'd rather not see that go on here. I can pull three topics off the top of my head that lead into flamers, and none of them were any fun...[V]

I'm just posting my conservative view here, no need for me to burst your bubble. And yes, I did have my coffee that day. So what if I'm a bit edgy about another flame war?

Normally I don't even bother opening threads like this but the title seemed rather "odd" and curiousitry unfortunately got the better of me.

I am still curious......why doe anyone need a thread "Lets just talk trains" when there are 88 cabillion threads here and at other kalmbach train related message board sites all talking about trains. People are already talking about them in every way shape viewpoint and aspec imaginable. Not only that the thread topics help define what is being discussed so one can choose to learn or converse on aspects of interest. "Lets talk trains" seems pretty generic and doen't really point to what kind of discussions one wants to have.

csx, remeber, you have to take anything with a grain of salt. There are some jerks out there, and there are those offering genuine advice. Its not that we don't like your posts, we are offering our opinions, which in this case some of us have opinions that are different from yours. You tried, people said this isn't really what the forum needs, so there is advice that you can use to make your time here more enjoyable. There are two ways a person can be in an arguement. You can either try to be "right" ot "efficient".
If you want to be right, that menas that all you want to do is win, or be right. Being efficient is trying to find the solution. What we all need to remember here is that this is not about being right, its about being efficient and finding solutions

I too do not see the point of multiple threads on the same subject. And you say you want this to be about Trains, why make a thread so generic in a forum that is all about trains? If you want to talk trains, why not pick a subject and create a thread about it. This whole forum, in one way or another, is talking about trains.

What I meant was that they said that the sun was too high, creating nasty shaows. If it wasn't for those **** bat wings, coulda been great with SD40-2s....

What is the purpose of a second Coffee Shop? We have one, and it has proven very popular. Why create a second one? If you want to talk about trains, there is a whole forum for you to browse. The Garden Railways forum went through this, and they had a multitude of "coffee houses." It got rather confusing, and annoyed many. I'd rather not see this go on here.

This was tried once before on here, the title of the topic even included something along the lines of a coffee shop, and it didn't fly. Why not just join with the currently existing Coffee Shop?

I agree with scott, why make a new coffe shop when the old is just fine and dandy

and by the way i have had my coffe today and it was fine and dandy!!!!!!!!!!

I agree with the above. Nothing against you Keith, but we really don't need another flame-fest going on. Leave it to the one coffee shop, please.
