Come on, guys! I got a real kick out of it!

I'll show this to my wife - she'll enjoy seeing this thing, too!

It's so bad it's hilarious!

The really scary part is that there are names listed if you hit the Credit button. I wonder if those folks know anything about this!

Well I watched it....kinda cute....kinda silly....the adult in me goes ..WOAH!! But the modeler in me puts this intro in the same category as a business decision made by an Atlas executive...somewhere in the same ballpark as the executive decision to remove the Events Section from a popular RR magazine earlier this year........

Maybe seeing that caused him to retire.[:0]

HELP! There's a dancing dog on my layout, and he's smashing all my scenery[:(!]!
Don't look for this song to rocket its way to #1. The lower it finishes on the charts, the better off we all are.Take this ad and drive a wooden stake in its heart.Let the shadow of a cross fall on it. And shoot it with a silver bullet and wave garlic in front of it just to be safe[xx(].

Well,

I don't know how old you guys are, but that pretty much sounded like a lot of the stuff I used to hear as a kid in the 70s. To me, the music was actually cool. ( I have an incredibly hard time digesting today's rap and goth music! )

The dog moonwalking? Now that was a bit much ( and from the 80s). The "woof-woofing" could have sufficed.

I guess I'm the oddball here, but I didn't think that was all that bad. A friend reminded me today that while it's good young people are entering the hobby, manufacturers and dealers seem to have the "over 30, middle-to-upper income modeling group in mind."

I'm only guessing here, but the advertisment seems to have a double intention:

The cartoon to attract the younger crowd, the music to attract guys from my generation and older.

I'm willing to assume that some of you that are my age or older "probably" took a momentary trip down memory lane when you heard the music style and beat. I admit, I do miss those days when James Brown and Blood-Sweat-and-Tears were topping the music charts. Those were fun times for me.

Peace.

"I like my Pullman Standards & Budds in Stainless Steel flavors, thank you!"

I would rather see them rapping...At least it might have some soul.......Hope they paid royalties to Steve Cropper and the boys for that one (the guys who wrote and recorded "Soul Man")....As my father used to say "Bad taste costs no more...."

Actually I thought it was no worse than what I see every time I turn on the Idiot Box (which is at least twice a month). By the way, I always liked the flip side of "They're Coming To Take Me Away". From the second or in this case first verse. Well it was the second on the first side but is the first on the second side ....... I think. (What was I talking about????)

Nope, on the original 45 (you old enough to know what a 45 was?) they played the song from back to front. I loved it! I don't recall hearing the flip side on the radio, but it was on the 45. The first time I heard it I laughed so hard I couldn't get my breath!

That's classic all the way. I used to have that 45 as a kid, back then we never listened to the B side, what a mistake on my part.

I know this thread is getting way off topic, but..... If you are interested in the original with a real player copy of the song (especially those of you who weren't born yet) you can see and hear it here: http://it.stlawu.edu/~x0tsing/takeaway.htm

Enjoy!
