Modelers are dumping on this animation on the Atlas forum too. Pretty lame!

Its professionally done, its just beyond cheesy. I can't believe Atlas would put that on their site for the lead-in to their new product line.
Kids are great for many reasons. Not the least of which is to buy toys "for them."

I use Mozilla with Adblock, so I couldn't see whatever it is. And I am sooooooo disappointed.
Should I be?

I think that they should take it down...right now.

I'm not too certain if it is professionally done...When the train went by, you could still see shards of the white background around it. That's pathetic. If they did it intentionally, it just makes it worse.[xx(]

You are not missing anything special, that's for sure!!

Let's just hope the character that approved this thing is not put in charge of new product development.
What happened to all the color, why is everything in black and white?

You're a model railroader. You need a therapist regardless of whether or not you've been to the Atlas website recently.

"They're coming to take me away, ha ha.
They're coming to take me away, ho ho, hee hee, ha ha...
To the funny farm where life is beautiful all the time,
And I can be happy for the rest of my life.
They're coming to take me away".

It's really kind of hard to support your local hobby shop when the nearest hobby shop that's worth the name is a 150 mile roundtrip.

You should thank Mozilla for saving you big bucks on therapy.

I'm still looking for those couple minutes of my life back!

They're coming to take me away, ha ha.
They're coming to take me away, ho ho, hee hee, ha ha,
To the happy home, with trees and flowers and chirping birds,
And basket weavers that sit and smile,
And wiggle their thumbs and toes,
And they're coming to take me away, ha ha....

Hee hee, good song.[:p]

Special credit to UP and CSX, and to the MSRP of the TrainMan Line. Would have thought that marketing could have been less for a budget priced line that this is supposed to be. Oh well just more money out of our pockets!

Is their target market kids who are about 6 months too old for Barney, or what? Maybe they can sell this way to the Thomas the Tank Engine crowd, but not to adults, please.

Speaking of being Off-topic. Then I couldn't make their track planning program work either. Did it remind any of you of SNL and the Blues Brothers' "Soul Man"?

I know of something worse than that. Any of you guys remember the comic books that came with Bachmann train sets? The one I have shows this family who doesn't know how to couple track on a carpet. Than next, "This looks like a job for, Bach Man!" Then Bach Man comes over and blah blah blah. It's kind of spooky.[:O]
