A Berkshire A1class with elesco water heater up front. Just like the "O" gauge model that Klein produces. THat is one sweet locomotive. P2K and Rivarossi have produced a Berk, but without the water heater up front above the headlamp, they are just too "plain Jane".

How about a 2-8-8-2 Mallet in C&O, and C&O streamline Hudson # 490 (Brass doesn't count $$$$$)

Any or all of the early steam locos that have been listed....but also with DECODERS already installed ( 2 function, I don't want sound... or the power grab just to start the puppy down the pike....)

Out here on the NW corner in Port townsend, WA. it's difficult to see/hear the new units, LL has announced a new GP9 with sound. However, I model Great Northern '47-'50 and would really love to see an early version GP7 complete with sound. I would happily buy three of them. I have a 4 unit FT and a pair of E-7's with sound. I also have on order an NW2 switcher for my yard duty.

I'll second that on the H-7 2-8-8-2. Handsome devil, that articulated--like all the rest of C&O's good-looking steamers--it looked like it meant BUSINESS!

I'm still waiting for the "Spectrum" S.P. GS-4! If only BLI would beat them to the punch...

i would love to see a EMD E2 or U50c, but NOT in brass. DCC with sound would be nice in both of them too.

Walthers made runs of H10-44s and H12-44s years ago. Some can be found on E-bay occasionally and maybe on consignment at hobby stores.

Russell

Russell, the Walthers locomotive has the early (Raymond Loewy) style carbody. The newer H12-44s have straight nose (not slanted), smaller banks of louvres, no fairing over the battery boxes, and no awning on the back of the cab. The Walthers unit was also not without problems: the shell is difficult to remove and it is not DCC-ready.

Why MRL, WC boys, they look beautiful in that scheme. MRL's are cool, but WC's come first!

Nope... I'm down south in LA-LA land. Torrance actually. Not far from the Lomita Railroad Museum.

You're all close to the California State Railroad Museum. That's pretty cool. I need to get up there and visit again as it's been a few years.

Talk about quwinkie dink, I'm also in Torrance!

Why not just ask Athearn? They've been making F-45's since the late 60's, IIRC.

And there are several for sale on Ebay right now.

I believe Microscale makes decals for MRL. The paint job is relatively simple.

Have at it.

It's really kind of hard to support your local hobby shop when the nearest hobby shop that's worth the name is a 150 mile roundtrip.

Well, I can really use 3 2-6-2T's but I fear it's going to be a kitbash.

Pretty much everything I need will be built out of kits I find on eBay. MDC Roundhouse, bring back your kits.

Where to start!? Lets see, Kato needs to do more SD40-2's and do SD40T-2's and lots of WC SD45's. More AC4400's, especially C&NW, SP, and CSX. SD70M's with flared radiators. GP50's, GP60's and GP30's. As for steam, how about a Ten-Wheeler based on C&NW's R-1 class.

Good luck dealing with Athearn...Since the blue boxes started vanishing, and the imported stuff from china came on the scene (and the prices sky rocketed) I don't think You will get much of a positive response from them...I even went around with Mr. Athearn many years ago just to get a pre paid $600.00 order out!... I later cancelled the order.

ANYTHING THAT ILLINOIS CENTRAL HAD AFTER 1988 AND IT HAS TO BE IN THE DEATH STAR LOGO. I've allready emailed Kato about an Illinois Central SD40-2 in the Death Star logo.
