Aggro, GREAT WORK, Ebay by any chance,

just got in from watching Steam fan tips, there have been two through today and a third is due in 1 hr, this should have run tommorow but it was brought forward to today.
This is 4-6-2 No6201 Princess Elizabeth at speed at Coppull


the second running 30 mins behind 6201 was 4-6-0 No 5690 Leander here at Coppull half a mile further down the line from the above picture

I don't know how to aswer the question. There is no limit set by the forum. I usually set mine to approx 800x600.

IT may have been how you reduced your photo. IF you just dragged it, that might be what caused the lack of resolution. In my image program, I right click and there is an option for changing image size. IT does so by pixel elimination. The program I use is a shareware program called Polyview. It is not a Photoshop type program, it more of a viewer that has some image manipulation capabilities.

Tom the best thing to do is gently put the camera down and forget about it for a week other wise it will push you over the edge, the M1A look's great at dusk
Andre Lizzie is out again tommorow and should pass by 5.15pm, hope to be finished at work so i can get some shots of it but if i don't there is another steamer 3/4 hour later.

Anyway, the night shot. The "Panoramic" on Bullard's Bar Bridge, running about four hours late. Loco is a 'borrowed' Pennsy M-1A.

Not that great, but like I said, this new camera is driving me NUTS!!

i"m sorry i"ve got a crap digital camera, but i"ve done quite alot on the new HO switching layout in the past two weeks(TONS MORE TO DO!), and i just wanted to post what i have done so far. i"ve put down the first layer of ground cover, put in a road, a gravel parking lot, three cement parking lots, put my industries about where they should be, and put in a hill/mountain. FINALLY ran some this afternoon also, and had a BLAST doing it!(man i LOVE sound[:D].)

I'll say one thing for the British. They really know how to run a mainline steam excursion!!! I rode an excursion behind ex LMS #6201 "Princess Elizabeth" http://www.creweopendays.co.uk/images/6201_ch_1.jpg in the fall of 2002. We were diesel hauled (class 47) out of Paddington to Bristol Temple Meads, where we lost the diesel and "Liz" coupled up. Then it was off to Plymouth at speeds that I estimate were in the neighborhood of 70+ mph trailing a train of about a dozen coaches.

I was lucky enough to be in one of the forward coaches. Although the windows themselves didn't open, there were "toplight" ventilators that did. These are essentially the "top" of the window and they have 2 pieces that slide in opposite directions to allow ventilation.. This allows you to get air and some good sound from the locomotive.

"Princess Elizabeth" is a four cylinder engine with two outside and two inside cylinders. I have to admit to being surprised that she sounded a normal two cylinder engine until I realized that the each crank is set at 90 degrees to the other so that you get a "normal" exhaust beat. It's just that two cylinders are exhausting at the same time.

At high speed, the loco actually sounds a bit like diesel as the exhaust is softened by the short cutoff and exhaust beat is quite rapid. However, all it takes is a good grade to make you aware that you're not listening to a diesel.

IIRC we left Paddington at around 0730 in the morning and arrived quite late in the evening after a spectacular trip.

Seriously, very, very nice work. That goes for everyone else, too, but today the gold star goes to Spacemouse.

Somehow, I don't think people want to see photos of the wiring under my layout. Switch machines and signal relays aren't glorious, but sometimes that's what you get done twixt Sunday and Saturday.
