The weather you described is what caused my parents to move from Chicago to California in 1963.

It will pass. . .

I like the snow.... up tp a point. Here in Winnipeg, the snow arrived last October 3 and it is still here under all that subsequent falling. We expect it to still be here in June. UGHH TOO LONG

Sun Sun Sun, ugh!!!!!!!, I'm sick of bright Sunshine, spring time temps in the winter, swamps, hurricanes or the threat there of, dumb, stupid, tourist clogging up the roads, McDonalds, Burgerking, and KFC. Gimmie a nice North Country Winter for a change. Lake Placid, here I come[:D][:D][:D].

Snow....um... is that that, like, whitish powdery stuff that some guys shake over their, like, mountain tops in their layouts? So, what's the problem...not sticking in one place enough? [(-D]

All snow welcome here - we've not had any really good coverings in recent years. I have a couple of photos in a local history book showing the main street during one of the hard winters of the 1940s - snow was at least 7ft deep and people were having to dig trenches through it to get around!

I know the feeling, though we haven't had any snow here in a couple of weeks now. This winter has brought the most snow our way in all the 12 years I've lived here, and more than most winters I can remember when I didn't live here. During one week right after Christmas we had about 4 1/2 to 5 feet of snow, and we've had snow several more times since then. We've also had quite a bit of rain (from the warmer storms), so all the snow we've had has melted.

Fortunately, though, since I am in SoCal, the sun does come out and warm things up, so our snow doesn't usually last too long. With the weather we've had the last few days, it feels like summer is not far off. Hopefully the rest of you (at least those that want it) are not too far from it.

Bob, that is cool. Being from socal I have never seen that. How do you get the blower on the roof? And in the picture did you already do on top of the house?

GFR, I feel for you. I have CA sunshine in a can, but everytime I send some out, the rain returns here. Tired of having a Florida swamp for a back yard, so if all goes well, I will send a can your way. [:)][:)][:)]

Yes, the neverending winter!

Here's a shot from a few years ago of me clearing snow from the roof of our garage:
