Kathy Mattea, Roses CD. Went to see her live last week and enjoyed the most amazing show. Can't stop humming her tunes!! Nice and relaxing and helped sooth the moment when I picked my soldering iron up by the wrong end! Helps if you look what you are doing!

In no particular order of importance:
- my CPU's fan (there's a trend here.....)
- "Flying Petals" by Kit Watkins
- "Whisper to the Wild Water" by Maire Brennan
- "U-City Blues" by Downtown Trio

...and when I finish here I may power up the keyboard rig and flesh out that chord progression that's been buzzing around my brain like a drunken mosquito all day!

What was the question?

It's a little later in the day, but I'm with John. Spongebob and my wife talking on the phone with my mother. I think they are conspiring against me, just try to take my trains from my cold dead hands ! A little paranoia is good I say.

my wife playing a cd by the Old 97's in the bedroom ("alternative country" music they call it).

And me breathing through my mouth because I have a killer head cold.

And the bird clock in the kitchen just went off. Its midnight. Each hour a different song bird sings its tune.

right now: Rimsky-Korsakov's "Russian Easter Overture." Don't ask me why, but it's loud and has lots of gong crashes. I get off on gong crashes. Got the old Sony cranked up to Mother In Law, and it's just frigging cool.

Not 'listening' to any 'music' this minute.('tho it should be John Denver's,"All Aboard")
The 'Bird Clock' is very cool, but you need a Lionel clock to listen to.

My CPU sound is easy to drown out, thank god I replaced my old fan. Downstairs it still sounded like a jumbojet taking of.

Music at the moment is La Woman by The Doors and before that some Green Day and Flogging Molly. Meanwhile my cat is trying to get some attention.

If you like "Maple Leaf Rag," try learning Joplin's "Elite Syncopations", it's even MORE fun! [}:)][}:)][}:)]

The Cumberland Sub of CSX on http://www.railroadradio.net/. I alternate between it and a few of the other scanner channels.

It is interesting to listen to the different styles of radio chatter between the railroads. UP and BNSF seem very businesslike. CSX has some characters on the radio. On the Cumberland Sub, there is one dispatcher who has a meltdown at least once a day about radio chatter and people being unsafe and how he is not going to take it anymore. Yesterday he was in rare form because a crew was not asking for permission to do something the right way.
