Good evening Diners.   A large whisky no ice please,  Zoe.

After the wettest March in a long time, today has been wall to wall sunshine.

We went to the coast;  so did others.  Thumbs Down  Laugh

We apparently had a tornado touch down a few towns away last night.  That's not a normal thing in Delaware.   People lost power, and there was a report of one home being destroyed.  We have gale warnings here all the time, which mostly affects fisherman and recreational boaters.

Newer communities like mine were all built with buried utilities from the start,  so we're much less prone to that kind of wind damage.

It takes an iron man to play with a toy iron horse.

Good morning everyone. I am going to have a BLT sandwich and a glass of iced tea today Chloe. Oh, bring me a plate of hashbrowns as well.

-  -  -  -  -  -  -  -  -  -

I am feeling great today.

The weather outside is getting hot and humid. The weather forecast is including a chance for rain every day now. We are not into the rainy season yet. That will be a few more weeks still, but things are changing.

He couldn't let me then, cuz there was an engineer in training that day.

When you come home and treat your baby to that 100 Buck Lunch, they still have the cab running for you at Cowboys.

And certainly, couldn't have tipped my hat in the style as it was intended, as well as my good friend Ed could,

so I'll let that fine sole of a gentleman, sport it the way it's supposed to beYes

Good Afternoon,

Sunny and cool here but expecting a couple of inches of the white stuff tomorrow. Apparently spring will start next weekend, very late.

Took wife to dentist this morning for a crown. He came in just for her as he is normally shut Saturday. He did it because of her covid anxiety and because he is a great guy.

No plans today, I am tired, slept poorly last night.

Seeing Ed's new locos made me start thinking.  After all I am selling my light mountain and the rest of the N stuff.  Wait, maybe not, refer to note about that crown. Wow, they are expensive.

Time for tea.

Afternoon diners. Janie, can I get a slice of raspberry pie please? Thanks.

Having a nice quiet day. Did some fiddling around on the layout today, then a little window shopping on eBay. Watching a college football spring game now. I'll take this Saturday! Hope everyone else's is as good.

Good morning everyone. Chloe, I would like a few slices of toasted white bread with real butter on them this morning.

It is Saturday. That used to mean the weekend was here, but now I am off on Thursday and Friday, so Saturday now means my weekend is over.

Good morning, everyone.

We had some pretty high winds overnight and our internet and everything else is out. Cell phone works but I will eat in the diner later when we are again connected to civilization.

Good morning Diners.  A large coffee and a Belgian Bun please, Janie.

With all this rainfall it is  a good job we do not live at the bottom of the hill. Wink

Ribblehead Viaduct.   'The Powers That Be'   wanted to demolish it.   After a huge campaign it has been saved.   The railway line is now one of the busiest freight lines in the country.

Not as dramatic, but plenty of room for our older granddaughter to run her train.

I just found out the Wordle has an analysis of your solution and whether it was more luck or skill.

I think that some of the most fantastic railway scenery is in the Canadian Rocky Mountains. Here are a few examples:

The Rocky Mountaineer is on our bucket list!

Cheers!!

I'm going to suggest that we use the scenery theme for April and then focus on roundhouses for May.

Jeffreys Track Side Diner for April, 2023
Posted by hon30critter on Friday, March 31, 2023 10:35 PM

Hi everyone!

Once again it is time to move the Diner! There were a couple of themes suggested. One is railroad scenery, both modeled and real, and the other was roundhouses. I'm going to suggest that we use the scenery theme for April and then focus on roundhouses for May.

Cheers!!
