if shes still his girlfriend at the end of it , i say shes a keeper
Not ths year (darn it). Not enough signed up for the bus and I've gotten too old to drive, walk in from the parking lot, walk around, walk back to the lot and drive again. Had two friends that would have gone too, for their first time.
To those that can do it, go and have fun, there's a great show to be seen.
Enjoy,
Richard
I'm not in Massachusetts anymore, so no. Great show, though, so I'd go if I were closer. Swap cell phone numbers and meet up.
It takes an iron man to play with a toy iron horse.
I try not to miss it, and plan to go this year - moved from the North Shore out to the Berkshires this year so it is a bit closer (less than an hour). Will definitely checkout your booth Loadman!
Well, I won't be at that train show.
But... I have a table at the Real Rail train show in Sarasota coming up in February. This will be the first time I have had a table at a train show in almost four years.
I hope to have a lot of fun.

Hi Kevin,
I would be interested in your feedback on this show as I was thinking about atttending as a dealer, but the timing of a medical procedure nixed it. I would appreciate it.
Thanks!
Neal
Hey Maxman,
I'll be stopping by again as I picked up some loads from you last year. I don't have your contact information and I know we can't post it nor does the messaging system work. I'm hoping you have some high and wide loads for some depressed center flat cars I bought. I'm in BLC section 40...
I hope it's a good show. Trainfest in Milwaukee was a success, with a bit over 20,000 attendance, and some familiar vendors from past years were not there, perhaps taking a wait and see attitude towards shows in general. Amherst might benefit.

Let's hope so. I notice that as of this week, Woodland Scenics has not signed up for the Springfield show. They usually have a large display there. I've also noticed that many of the vendors who didn't show up last year will be back.

This year was the first year for the show since Covid-19, and it was a bit of a dud.
There seems to be a lot more excitement for the show next year. Also, since Scale Rails of Southwest Florida has cancelled all future train shows, it is the only show South of the Tampa Bay area now.
I am not aware of any upcoming shows in Miami or Fort Lauderdale.
I sure hope it is a good one. I will report on it when it is over.

I haven't seen any train shows in South Florida, although there was one in the Martin County Fairgrounds that I went to early 2022. It was okay as I got there early. Bought a couple of gifts for friends (shotglasses with engines on them), but no trains.
I'm not down here for the Cocoa RPM meet as I hear its a great show, need to head back north that weekend.
I've also noticed that many of the vendors who didn't show up last year will be back.
If you look at the show website you'll see all the vendors that are due to come. Many vendors at the 2022 show did have to cancel at the last minute because of the snow.
I recall for last year's show Canadian covid restrictions were still in place (ended October 2022) and a number of vendors stated they canceled (or were forced to cancel) because of that, Now the weather, that's what forced me to cancel the trip up there - it was supposedly better on Sunday, but since I could only make it on Saturday, that was a wash for me. The virtual rainfan coverage of the convention halls showed a bit of a pacity of vendors at the show, hopefully those spaces will be filled once again this coming year.

I plan on attending on the Saturday. I'll be hanging around the B&M Historical Society tables most of the time.

Neal, sent an email to your attention @ east coast circuits. Has my contact info. I will have, hopefully, a transformer that might work for your Xanax car.

Maxman, didn't see any email, but I will stop by late Friday during setup or in the afternoon on Saturday when it slows down for us..
If you go to our site, use the wholesale inquiry email address listed as that one comes to me only...
Okay, tried again.
Missed that email address on the site, down there in the fine print.

I am going. Amherst is the best show in the Northeast. I am happy to offer a ride down and back to anyone interested.

Two weeks and counting. Has everybody got their shopping lists ready?
For those thinking about going to the show, here's a PDF file of exhibitors as of January 10th!
https://www.railroadhobbyshow.com/files/exhibitors_list_1_10.2023.pdf
Hope to see many of you at the show!
I will miss seeing Jim Sacco of City Classics. I always made sure to visit his table at Amherst and was never disappointed. RIP, Jim.
Latest update: Edaville #11 will be operating under steam for both days of the show.
One more week. Long-range weather forecast looks good. Have your shopping list and your comfortable shoes ready.
Massachusetts is too far from me. However Maryland has its own Amherst, the Great Scale Train Show outside Baltimore that is not only a very underrated show and massive but I always find something I need there at a crazy good price.
Looking forward to going! As in past years, the best part of this show is the item that you just "stumble upon" - that you didn't know existed or never expected to find. Sometimes on Sunday there are incredible bargains to be had - just because the vendor doesn't want to drag the stuff home.
It looks like it would be an 8-9 drive for me. I had never even considered going until I saw this video:
