Here are a couple views of my favorite brick structure.
Show a wood structure, please.
Thanks John, IMO thinned paint washes for color and weathering, and painting a bunch of individual bricks lighter and darker helps set-off a DTD brick structure.
jacon12signs painted on the sides of buildings
A few buildings on the Boothbay Railway Village layout that I built. These are/were real companies in the Portland, ME area; however, the models do not match any prototype. They are all on a 1-1/2% grade on the right side of the layout and had to be kitbashed to fit the space and grade

Sorry to interupt, the call is for signs painted on the sides of buildings.

Peter, the detail in your scenes is always superb. I also admire your skill in constructing those Downtown Deco hydrocal structures. I just finished my second of these, one of the Addams Ave. kits, and mine just don't have as crisp a look as the ones you have built. They look OK from 3 feet but they would never look as sharp as yours do in close up photography.
The call was for signs painted on the sides of buildings.

Here's my Milwaukee Road offering.
I love the beaver tail obs as much as the streamlined Atlantic.
This train fits neither my locale or era. One of the good things about being a free lancer is you can rewrite history to justify putting something on your layout you like. In this case the streamlined Atlantic was spared the scrapper's torch and was put into service to run excursion trains. Here an excursion train of Milwaukee Braves fans are on their way to the New York area to see their team take on the New York Giants and Brooklyn Dodgers.
Stay with fallen flags.
