Intermountian SD40-2 Sagging Pilot
Posted by loggingfirefighter388 on Thursday, May 5, 2022 2:05 PM

Greetings,

I have a HO scale Intermountian SD40-2 and the front and rear pilots are sagging really bad to say the least. Ive reached out to Intermountian but have heard nothing back from them. Does anyone have a fix for this issue or perhaps suggestions to fix it?

If i'm understanding you correctly Try using small diameter styrene (hollow rod) as bushings, otherwise hand-cut sheet plastic as shims, in either case you will most likey need to drill into the engine undercarrage and secure with a machine screw.

This can be hit or miss fix. Bayway Terminal NJ
