QUOTE: Originally posted by Paul3 I know, I know, this is w-a-a-a-y off topic and probably shouldn't be here. However, since it's mostly harmless, I can't resist just this once, especially since I've been a Pats fan since probably before birth (my dad was an usher at Schafer/Sullivan/Foxboro Stadium for over 15 years starting on day one, 4 years before I was born...). PennsyHoosier, how can you say that the Pats are the most boring team in NFL history? They beat the highly touted Rams in 2002 in the biggest upset in Super Bowl history on a last second field goal, and they beat the Panthers last year in a game that was at first a nerve racking defensive battle then later an edge-of-your-seat offfensive explosion. They also beat the Raiders in the Snow Bowl with possibly the two most difficult field goal attempts in playoff history. This month they just held the most prolific offense in the NFL (the Colts) to only 3 points, and just put 41 on the best defense (the Steelers) in the league. What is boring about that? Unless, you mean the negative, Randy Moss-like hijinks that other teams are famous for. I guess in that case, you've be right, the Pats are pretty boring. They are the best T-E-A-M in professional US sports, where no one person is more important than the team itself. In other places, it's mere lip service. In Foxboro, it's for real. Paul A.
