Apparently ticket sales are thru the roof.  Hopefully it wan't be a COVID super spreader event.

No, I won't be there.  I'm avoiding crowded places, and besides, I've moved to Delaware (although I can't change my profile) and it's a longer trip than I used  to have.  The GF hates the cold, so a trip with her to this show in winter is out of the question.

Years ago, when PMs used to work, I exchanged cell phone numbers with a few forum members and we met up at the show.  I can't do that anymore, either.  Maybe some of you can.

Too far away and weather can be an issue for those who travel the distance.  Haven't been there since I moved further away.

Wish I could be there, but between covid and a recent surgery, I'm not up to it and don't feel it would be a smart thing to do. We'll probably have a reduced presence with some of our friends manning the City Classics tables.

I am not going and I've been to every show since 1991.

The South Shore Model Railway Club is not going.

The New Haven Railroad Historical & Technical Association is not going.

Rapido's problem isn't getting to the show, it's getting home that's the issue.  You have to have a test within a certain number of hours before you can cross the border into Canada.  And the way the lines for testing are here in Massachusetts, the odds of getting a test in time to make the trip back to Canada are not good.

We'll be exhibiting this wear and our crew will all be wearing masks

Where will you be located?

I don't see any nealknows on the vendor list.

I knew they should have renamed the "Effective Publicity Work" thread, which more or less covers the Amherst show.
I plan to attempt, I have no issues wearing masks (living in NY, its requried for public venues), and have been vaccinated (unfortunately I'm scheduled to get the booster in early February, so I'll try not to get jammed in any crowds  - the last show I went to...well, the last live show...was in 2020, and crowding wasn't really bad except for the lunch lines).
Link to exhibitor list as of the 15th here. Perusing that list, looks like nealknows is correct, I see neither Atlas nor Rapidio listed  Atlas not being around kind of sucks, but Rapidio, although their models are nice to look at, really doesn't offer much I could use.

Rapido comes from Canada, and no Canadian vendors are able to attend.

As of this past weekend, The city of W. Springfield, MA does not have a mask mandate. However, the show itself is recommending everyone wear masks (This information came from the show director via email this weekend). We'll be exhibiting this wear and our crew will all be wearing masks. I hope others coming to the show will do the same.

Atlas supposedly pulled out of all shows this year. Rapido I assume has border issues, and from what I remember, Scenic Express moved their company out west.

I'll be there both days. Really missed it last year. It will be worth the trip, even though a few exhibitors (Rapido, Atlas, Scenic Express) appear to be missing.

I wish the Amherst folks and their exhibitors all success but in my personal opinion this is not the time to be jammed inside with others.  I am hoping the Omicron pandemic dangers are going to be decreased enough in a month to attend the Madison (WI) show (which is very nice but nowhere near Amherst in size or scope) but I am not counting on it.
