I hate when they edit shows. I know almost all the MASH episodes and they heavy edit them on TV now.
There are full episodes of Red Green on YouTube.
Richard
I get aggravated sometimes watching the Twilight Zone on the SciFi Channel. I know each of the episodes pretty well.
The SciFi Channel will show quite a few Twilight Zones, and they have edited the original shows quite a bit. They fit in a lot of commercials, and to keep the half-hour time slot, they edit the shows heavily. Sometimes things that were important to the story are cut.
MeTV, on the other hand, usually shows complete episodes, or at least less edited.

Evening
We have the Red Green Show on the public broadcast station at 12:30 everyday. Sometimes I catch it but usually I'm doing something. It's on every Friday at 9:30 PM and I always catch that one.
Well I got all my face frames for my new bench work all put together today. I'm really into it now, too bad my wife has me busy on her day off tomorrow.
Hey Kevin, Did you crawl up in the scissor trusses above the ceiling and get that insulation re-situated before it got too hot today?
TF
I haven't seen Red Green in years. That was a hilarious show.
How about the Possum Lodge? And the prayer: "I'm a man, but I can change, if I have to, I guess."
I don't have any channels that carry that show anymore. Maybe I can get it online.
Good afternoon folks, just an ice tea please. I got my target done today on my project, but I felt like I should have kept going. But I had to break to take my son to work. He's autistic and afraid to drive. Works as a dishwasher at a casino. I keep telling him that he'll have to learn sometime. eventually they will take my license. It's not like he doesn't have hand-eye coordination. He rips up in Mario Cart.
And he's only 22. The earliest my other two kids got thteir licences was 26.
Anyway he's off tomorrow so I'm off. Maybe I'll take a nap.

Hello everybody ....
We just finished having a very long weekend with family members visiting fromn Cincinnati. We spent most of the time with lake activities.
I'm glad to see so many posts here in the Diner with interesting conversations and photos. I hope to have time to catch up tomorrow.
Cheers !

We'll get there sooner or later!
Cool
Now I can watch the other one. Thanks for listing the willoughby one Kevin. I don't believe I've ever seen it yet and I'm going to type it up on Amazon tonight. Even if it isn't free I'll just pay the $3.99.
I've always liked the Red Green show Rob. I tune into that one when I can. I love when he builds those contraptions to try to get out of the work his wife wants him to do. His logic telling you what he's doing as he's building it is a hoot. Cracks me up but my wife just doesn't have time for this sort of thing.
I think you need to be of the right humor type for this show, not really comparable but along the same lines as a certain breed that likes British humor.
Good Lord look at what time it is. I've had such a good time talking to you all, the morning slipped by like water.
Time to get back to my bench work project.
Have a good one guys, catch up with ya tonight
CederstrandI'll be giving a nod to a few shows on the new layout, including Soylent Green, The Red Green show, and Farmer Vincents smoked meats. Patti may have one or two of her own to add to the list as well.
I hope to include a large industrial complex in one corner that will have signs that can be changed.
It could be either a SLURM bottling plant (Futurama), POPPLER packaging plant (also Futurama), or a GERN flux processing mill (Dr. Wayne).
Someone else in here has already made MOM'S ROBOT OIL.

The railroad forum gang misses our Munk!
And Blue does too
I was surprised the prime rib didn't seem to work. Usually a juicy slab lures the Lion. Maybe this will get his attention.
I hope he's okay too.
Scrambled eggs and an Italian roast coffee in a Santa Fe mug, please.
***TF and Kevin, those were terrific episodes. I'll have to go watch them tonight.

Still selling off old train stuff (mostly N) in order to shop for the items I want for the new HO layout. It's going pretty well thus far.
Back on scheduled chemo for a bit. Feel rotten but beats the alternative. Actually lost my ballance last night and fortunately a chair caught me.
Have a great day all. Rob
Track fiddler There must be two of these Train episodes. I'll have to see if I can find the other one on Amazon.
There are two train episodes of The Twilight Zone.
Centerville: Stopover In A Quiet Town: A couple is trapped on a model railroad layout.
Willoughby: A Stop At Willoughby: A man wants to escape his terrible life by going back in time and living in the 19th century.
I have a set of decals in my collection printed by Rail Graphics that someone had made for the CENTERVILLE & WILLOUGHBY RAILROAD.
Good morning, everyone.
It will be a good morning for me in about two hours. I have to cut the grass and I should be finished by then.
I belong to an organization that has not met since January. We are meeting tonight at a local restaurant, so it seems like another step toward normality.
Twilight Zone:
Track fiddlerIt started out this couple was hungover and didn't remember much from the night before and didn't know where they were. They got aboard the train trying to get to some place they could get their bearings and start to realize where they were again. That's all I'll tell you in case you ever catch that episode.
I know that episode well. It's a good one. Several years ago, I set out to watch every single episode of Twilight Zone (the original black and white ones introduced by Rod Serling). I believe I've seen every one, although there are some that I don't remember. My favorite is "Third from the Sun". A series with great writing!
We haven't heard from some diners for a while. Hope everyone is doing well.
Good morning
Nice and cool this morning over coffee. The Crickets still chirping after dark give signs of the Fall, my favorite time of the year.
I did a little research on that Twilight Zone episode I happened to catch in the middle of the night. Being half asleep I cannot remember details such as Centerville Kevin or Willoughby Ed. There must be two of these Train episodes. I'll have to see if I can find the other one on Amazon.
The episode is "Stopover in a quiet town" #150 season 5 episode 30 starring Barry Nelson and Nancy Malone, aired April 24th 1964. I remember periodicly while watching it, there was a little girl giggling in the background. Those old shows are freaky man. Not something you want to watch the middle of the night when you're trying to fall asleep again
So my Clear Select Pine comes from Chile Bear. That is funny. I take it a middleman in New Zealand imported it from Chili in bulk, milled it, put a stamp on it and sold it to the US. No wonder this wood was so spendy, I thought to myself, I'm buying boards not bricks of bullion
It fascinates me how we have all our plentiful northern and southern forest resources here and we have to import wood from other countries. I guess it makes sense, "The American Way" all about the dollar.
Well I guess I'm going to put the rest of my Chili Wood face frames together today and start some assembly.
Have a great day everyone
Track fiddlerThanks for the nice Premium Select Pine Bear.
Track fiddlerThat's all I'll tell you in case you ever catch that episode.
Is that the one where the conductor calls out "Willoughby" all the time?
I've never seen it but my friend of many years ago used to talk about it as there is a town near me called Willoughby, Ohio.
Cheers, Ed
That episode is where I got the name Centerville for the main town on my layout.
The other train-town name from The Twilight Zone is Willoughby.
We just had the gulley washer, toad strangler, sheep drowner come thru here.
Eveing Diners.
Flo, give the gang and I a please, Chip anything he wants! Dirk will all so loke a dog reat.
Chip great to see Space Mouse is back!
Not really anyting to say but all this rain sucks rail spikes.

York1 I have a TV in my layout room, so while I worked today, I have been watching the original Twilight Zones all day. They were so good. I really don't think we have writing like that for today's TV shows

Some of those old Twilight Zones are a trip John.
I like the ones where you're following along and kind of think your getting things and then it hits you like a ton of bricks in the end.
The other night I wasn't sleeping well and caught an episode I never seen before. I would hate to spoil it in case you ever see it but believe it or not it was a model railroad Twilight Zone.
It started out this couple was hungover and didn't remember much from the night before and didn't know where they were. They got aboard the train trying to get to some place they could get their bearings and start to realize where they were again. That's all I'll tell you in case you ever catch that episode.
howmusHope you are staying healthy and doing well.
Better than I have a right to be, that's for sure.
Garry--Congrats on a successful surgery.
Ken!!!--You still working on that layout you were starting last time we talked? You have to have outgrown it by now--I mean that was over a decade plus years ago.
I took down the ceiling in the bathroom today.
An inspection above the ceiling showed that the insulation around the vertical surfaces of the vaulted ceiling over the living room has all fallen down.
I need to fix all that tomorrow. It is going to hurt. There is very little room to crawl around up there.
We had a toad-drowner of a rain storm this afternoon. The whole street was under 2-3 inches of water. That has not happened in a few years.
It's been some years now, but I remember when my daughter was just getting her license. I bought her a car right away, because I wanted her to drive a lot around our safe little town and get really used to it before she went away to college a couple of years later. It worked. I rode with a few of her friends, and my Annie was a calm, accomplished and safe driver, while her friends who had to borrow the family car were nervous and seemed unsure of themselves.
It takes an iron man to play with a toy iron horse.
Hey Chip,
Thanks for sharing some of your experiences with people named in the R.I.P. Track. Knowing something about them adds a lot to the list of names.
Dave
I'm just a dude with a bad back having a lot of fun with model trains, and finally building a layout!
Track fiddlerWhere the heck is everyone anyway? I guess they must have ran out of margaritas in the diner here.
I kind of wondered the same thing. The diner waitresses are running low on tips.
I've been working the layout today, but it was tempting to go outside. About nine o'clock this morning, a cool front came through, the humidity went down, and it only got up to 82°. It was a perfect day for Daisy the Dachshund and me to sit on the front porch and watch the birds and squirrels.
I have a TV in my layout room, so while I worked today, I have been watching the original Twilight Zones all day. They were so good. I really don't think we have writing like that for today's TV shows.
Time to walk the dog.
Hey Mouse!!!!!
Good to see you! Hope you are staying healthy and doing well.
hon30critterBob Hartle aka cmrproducts
I was just thinking about Bob (his layout actually) earlier today. Then I read about his passing. He had a basement 75 feet by 40 feet and filled 3 levels. An operating session could have 20-25 operators. His dispatching room had 6-8 monitors.
He was the one who sold me on Digitrax. Not that others aren't just as good. He ran digitrax and sold me my Zephyr and DT400. Still using it.
hon30critterHarold Minkwitz aka hminky
Harold caused me to rethink how I thought of model railroad space. He also got me to put decoders in my small steam, and it's why I'm running the era that I run today. I liked the era, but this made it accessible.
Andy Sperano wrote the diffinitive guide to model railroad yards.
Wow. Just Wow.
The rest of my PECO Unifrog turnouts came in the mail today. Made some more progress on my cabinet bench work. Hope to start laying my track this weekend.
Thanks for the nice Premium Select Pine Bear. You guys grow some nice pine trees over there
