Judy talked to the doctor  I'm terrified  I know how much Judy loves her sister She has to see her sister  They are going to dress her in protective precautions She says she is going to the hospital to get her Sister back

Hello John,

I wish there was something I could do. You are always giving people positive encouragement so I hope you can apply a little bit of that to yourselves.

John (TF) - Sorry to hear Kelly is not doing well. I understand your going, I would also want to go if I were in your situation, but please take all the precautions you & Judy can. You & Judy stay healthy!!!!

Dave - Hmm Now I'm wondering which he is... When I described him to a "birder" friend, she said Blue Warbler. But he could also be the Indigo Bunting... Now I really want to get his picture, just to be sure which one I've got hanging around!

Post hog alert - my 4th of the day in the diner! I guess that means drinks on me.

Interesting thing just happened while I was using DecoderPro -

I am using a Digitrax PR4, through DecoderPro, to try to speed match two Bachmann Sound Value diesels (ES44AC NS Heritage units) and the one (8105, Interstate unit) just turned on her sound and drove off the programming track! Surprise

The programing track is hooked only to the PR4, on my computer desk!!!! No power source from DCC system anywhere near it!

Good thing it drove onto the desk and not the floor!

Holy crow..... Never seen THAT before!!!!

Bird watchers - Seems the Blue Warbler is still hanging around.

You may have an indigo bunting:

There is no "Blue Warbler" per se. The closest we have is a "Black-throated Blue Warbler" which looks like this:

https://www.google.com/search?lr=&as_qdr=all&source=univ&tbm=isch&q=black-throated+blue+warbler&safe=images&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwiZ2LTgiofqAhUsSTABHdMrCsQQiR56BAgMEBA&biw=1920&bih=916#imgrc=P9LxUcC-QwBMPM

It should be easy to differentiate between this bird and an Indigo Bunting.

My best to those of you affected by Covid-19.  We seem to be in a virus-free zone right around here.  Our state is small, and we only have 400 tallied fatalities, but I'm afraid that the numbers are being manipulated for political purposes.  The good news is that we know no one infected at all.

We live on a tidal marsh, so our birds are plentiful.  We have a lot of gulls and wading birds.  I've never lived around herons or egrets before, so they are a treat.  The marsh is also along a migratory path, so we have a constant fly-by in the fall and spring.

I did ask a Canadian friend on another forum what Canadians called Canada Geese.  His immediate answer was "dinner."

. . .My rib is hurting and I have been short of breath most of the day. Oxgen level is 98% so why do I feel short of breath?. . .

Your sense of a shortness of breath is due to the fact you are unable to fully expand the lungs when you inhale due to the pain. As a consequence, you are forced to take more rapid, shallow breaths creating the sensation of being out of breath. While this is an inefficient way to breathe, it does provide the body with enough fresh air to oxygenate the blood.

Hi Everyone,

Zoe, please could I have a Large Beer and  Chloe, please could I have a second even Larger Beer, because the first one probably won't touch the sides.

I've been writing Health & Safety Policies and Procedures, for the last 7 days, including all weekend solid, in order to satisfy an External Audit by a potential Customer. I feel more frazzled than a 'Frito Pie' could ever sound (Saturday was 09:30 to 23:30, one hour for meals) "Working in Confined spaces", took hours and 13 pages.

Sorry to read about peoples grief and hard times in the neighborhood.

Are we in Dakota yet? I've lost track of things a bit, but at least I can find some Youtube Vids to watch whist the cold Northerly/Easterly winds & rain that have been constant now, for 3 weeks, pound the house and windows.

On Saturday 20th, the winds will suddenly veer to the South (apparently) and summer will be here. Some decent weather -  just as Midsummer arrives when the days start getting shorter  and it's all downhill to Christmas.

Whinge over, the weather is the least of it, for some. Regards Paul

Prayers for you and your family TF.

Found a box of buildings that I had build 30 years ago.  I need to wrap them up better, for our move. I'll be able to use some of them when I build out my layout after the move.   Looks like that won't happen until the end of July.

TF: Give your wife all my best wishes. I mailed Gary's freight cars to you today, you should have them by the weekend.

All the extra work I put into masking really resulted in a neat job when all was completed.

Sometimes, you just need to make a piece of plywood look like it is a piece of riveted steel plate for no reason at all. Things like this make my wife think I have gone nuts.

Good evening everyone,

Zoe,  Can I have Chicken Flautas with a side order of Spanish Rice/Refried Beans? Thanks

I've been looking at photos of Autorack trains and trying to decide if i should add one to my collection. The Walthers 89' ones in the "Gold Line" series look good. Does anyone have Walthers Autoracks and how do they run?  What # kadee couplers do I use on them?

I recently found a neat Johnny Lightning 60's Volkswagen on ebay. It was only available to members of the johnny Lightning Collector's Club in 2001. Compared to Hotwheels and Matchbox, Johnny Lightning appears to be "lesser known" toy brand.

Still looking for this other one released the same year,

  " width="100" height="100" />

Anyone have cars like this in thier collection?

I might draw some autoracks tomorrow and post a rendering of what the train will look like.   Stay Tuned

I don't doubt your friend's expertise. As JW suggested, it is properly called a 'black throated blue warbler'. Here is a black throated blue warbler:

There are distinct differences. Note the white underside and the black mask on the black throated blue warbler. The indigo bunting is mostly blue with dark wings.

You can eat as many of them as you want! Dianne and I refer to them as "poop factories" (actually we use a different word than poop!Smile, Wink & Grin). They defecate so much that they ruin almost all the walkways around urban ponds and at the lakes. They do keep the grass short though!

Although if Bear (JaBear) shows up and demands something to eat, I would of course offer him something. (Anything he wants!Laugh )

Though my Grandma passed away 40 years ago, she’d be terribly annoyed if the Bear displayed such bad manners. Amongst her numerous words of wisdom was “Manners maketh the Man.” I often ignored others but I never ignored my Grandma.

Hope something good comes up on the w**k front, soon.

My son Cole used to get kidded by his friends because he had good manners. Their parents often commented about his deportment too. I can't tell you how proud that made us feel. As in JaBear's case, my 'Gram' played a major role in teaching me proper behaviour.

Good morning.  Bacon, eggs, and black coffee -- same as everyday.

First, we're still praying for you and your family, TF.

In the middle of bad news, I have some good news.  My younger brother seems to be completely recovered from the virus.  It was a rough time for a while -- two trips by ambulance to the emergency room, and two several-day stays at the hospital.  But thankfully, he pulled out of it and seems back to normal.  I know he has to pass a second test to be called "recovered", but it looks good.

Very hot and humid days.  Several more days of 90s, then it seems like a break may be coming.  They're predicting three or four days in the 80s.  It will be a welccome change.

Working on some brick walkways today.  The heat will make the cold beer taste even better this afternoon.

Good Afternoon!

A Angel for all affected by the virus!

We left early to go house hunting in Denmark! We were actually trying our luck, as the border is still not fully opened - only if you stay a minimum of 6 nights. After a 3 hours drive we crossed the border, just waving our passports to the Danish border policeman, who gave us a friendly salut! 30 minutes later, we saw the house and immediately fell in love with it. It´s a traditional, 175 year old country house, lots of beams inside and an immaculate thatched roof. The place is ready to move in! It ticks all of our boxes!

Just a few picies I took.

View to the south.

View to the North.

That´s Petra admiring the huge garden!

And just another view!

Just phoned the agent that we are going to buy the house!

Happy? Very!

Happy times!

Congratulations!  Hope the sale goes according to plan.

Is your friend going in with you on this, or is this you and Petra by yourselves?

She will be with us. We need to do a few minor things to have two separate places, but this can be done once we have moved in.
