BATMAN
Show me a car you have every # in the release from.

Well, the stuff shown below was going to be my reply to BRVRR's request for more tanks cars, but it took a while to find them and to sort out the duplicates, too.

Since all of them, as best I can recall, are custom lettered, I have all that I've ever created (except for the too-modern-for-my-layout-one shown in black & white) which was sold some years ago....

Sorry if there are any duplicates, but I think this is as much "more" as I'm able to show, as far as tank cars are concerned, but certainly not all of the car numbers that I've created.

Wayne

Now, back to Brent's request...

I have fifty of these Bessemer & Lake Erie ore Jennies. MTH only made them in four numbers Bang Head

I have a LOT of renumbering ahead of me Huh?

 BLE_ore by Edmund, on Flickr

Brent may consider this heresy, but I HAD to do it. These cars are being repainted into Bessemer.

Please show more cars you've had to renumber due to duplication.

This is embarassing, because I created the renumbering situation through my own stupidity.

SPOILER: The loaded flatcar is part of my Weekend Photo Fun this week.

I accidentally numbered two STRATTON AND GILLETTE flatcars 63703 completely by mistake.

One of these will need to be renumbered.

Show me a mistake you made.

Guess what? Styrene does not do well in a 200° oven!

 PRR_tender by Edmund, on Flickr

Making a PRR auxiliary water tender using a brass body. I had experimented with a brass filler piece over the coal bunker but elected styrene instead. Shot the Scalecoat I and everything looked fine. I even paused for a moment before placing this whole rack in the oven, sure that everything was metal.

 PRR_cistern_crop by Edmund, on Flickr

Fortunately an easy fix but I still don't know what I was (not) thinking at the time.

Please show more goof-ups.

Please show more goof-ups.

There don't seem to be a lot of mistakes out there that people want to share.

This one isn't really my mistake, other than I am the one that did not take the decal off of the freight car.

I was really excited about this "Fireball Express" decal I found in a 1/25 scale car kit decal set.

Unfortunately the yellow "Fireball Express" lettering is on a white background. I could not tell this when it was on the white decal carrier paper.

NEVER print yellow lettering on a white background. Come on people, that is heraldry 101 right there. This mistake is really a shame, because this could have been one awesome looking boxcar.

I'm looking to find time to work on some projects but free time is extemly reduced for now for my train project.

I need a big steam ship to take of my coal from my coal dumper; none exist in N scale, but I'm going to kitbash one with the use of two model ship with a scale suitable for N scale

This ship in N scale is future  kitbash, the hull comes from a sail boat made by HELLER the "Passat model" and the superstructure comes from the old "Shell Welder" produced years ago by Frog.

The hull will be cut to a water level and the bow reconstructed to be straight and look like a steamer of the 30's

In fact something like this old picture
