Garry: Thank you for the concern about my daughter. I was so sure she would be OK, because both her and her husband can work from home, and they can get everything they need from Uber-Eats.
I never considered their entire building could become an infested petri-dish for this outbreak.
They tested them even though they have no symptoms. She received three different tests to make sure there is no false-negative. There must be some real concern.
She was given tape to seal off all the openings in her apartment. She is only allowed to have one window open. I guess the window is positioned away from the open windows in other apartments.
She was given rations for 21 days by the State of Washington.
Her apartment does not have air conditioning.
She was about to close on her house.
I doubt I will be in Kentucky this year. Now that I don't travel for work, Kentucky seems so far away.

Living the dream.
Moving this response to the Diner becuase it was off topic in the other thread:
AttuvianHang in there in Florida; what's left of the Spring Breakers (there may be a pun there) are about to vacate the state.
Yes, the last of them will be leaving this Saturday to head back home.
The overhead shots of the beaches are actually kind of silly now. The Spring Breakers are crammed together in the beaches in front of the condominiums, and too may of the police in Southwest Florida are standing right on the property line to arrest them if they touch the public beaches.
If they opened the public beaches they could get some "social distance" between them. I guess social distance is not what Spring Break is about.
Locals are cutting the barricade tape and protesting the closing of the public beaches by sunbathing on the sand. A local law firm has agreed to represent any local beachgoer who is arrested for peacefully protesting.
Meanwhile, while this nonsense is going on, the police in Cape Coral and Fort Myers are lacking the manpower to reply to all the 911 calls.
The Chiefs of Police in Cape Coral and Fort Myers have again issued requests to the criminal element to stop committing crime so they can deal with the real emergencies... college kids playing volleyball and locals who are adicted to sand and surf.
I love living here.

Sort of Work Front. No one came in to the store today and hate to say it but I was glad! Reason I was hating people yesterday is two fold.
1 Had a older guy come to the store yesterday that wanted a soft full sizes mattress set and frame for $250.00. Now that part, well I am use to stupid. But I had a younger female in the store at the time and he started hitting on her! After I got him away from her I could not keep him at a safe 6 foot distant from me! She got the heck out of there before the old fart could hit on her again.
2 Owners keeping the store's open when we should be closed. Nancy and Marvin are staying home in there 6500 sq foot house yet there minion have to go into the stores to Face The Stupid People that do come in! Not a chances to make commission!
Only good thing is it get's me away from the wife that think's we need more than 52 rolls of T/P Paper!
Later, Ken and Dirk say's Woof, Woof!
I hate Rust
No problem JR, although I seen your picture in the first post.
That's how I was taught to do it by members in here, I think Henry and Ed led me through the process.
Dave, I totally agree on the mail handling! How many miles did that take? @ 10:20, I did get get a chance to see just what the back side of a steam loco cab looked like, and how the "door" worked. I always wondered about that, but I suppose each railroad had a way of doing it.

Howdy ....
We are completing Day 14 . When we started, we hoped it would only last for two weeks. Oh well. I'm working on the model railroad.
MLC .... It would be a good idea to schedule another day to play trains when this is over. Kevin would be welcome back. and other Diners would be welcome too.
JR .... Looks like you are making an impressive building. Nice.
Kevin .... Praying your daughter will be okay.
Actually, I pray all forum members, MR Staff, and families of them will not get the virus.
TF ..... I like the photos you are posting.

Sorry .... I have been over in the corner "Weatherizing" stuff, and I "may" have gotten a bit carried away. ( it's water based, so just a quick rinse and all will be well.)
For the first time in 21 day's, I have FINALLY found a 4 pack of toilet paper. I even managed to find a 3 LBS bag of potatos.
Rust...... It's a good thing !
I remeber that SNL skit.
I call our NRHS meeting the "What did you say? meeting" because most of the members cannot hear and yell "What did you say? "
I think I will solder small maget wire to LEDs tomorrow at work. I have set up a workbench over in our storage area to fix things.
GMTRacingThanks Mike I will try that.
JR: I can see that picture.
Success.
Thanks Mike I will try that.

Henry,
F=Fathom----6 feet..busom--top and bottom sections of a net, 76/96--76 length in feet of the top of the net--96 lenght in feet of the bottom of the net, where chain is fastened to keep it in contact with the bottom. wings, mine were 2 F, pannels that come out from the busoms that determine how far up a net will "reach", cut on a taper, and knit into both busoms. The "legs" go from the top and bottom of the "wings", lines, or light cables, that fasten to the trawl doors, used to spread the net open on the bottom. Doors can be wood/metal, or metal.
While there were many demons that could grab you on deck, I also had 27 years as a deputy sheriff, broken service, and was far more concerned going to a domestic complaint call at 03:00. The county I worked for usually only had one deputy on duty for the overnight shift, and our backup generally was 45 min. to 1 hour away. Child sex abuse cases would burn me out, and I would go back fishing for a time.
I think that in both cases the word "challange" comes to mind.

Kevin,
You need a model railroad to fill the space in the garage.....
I use Flickr also for my pic host and use the little mountain icon on this site to post. If no one else can see the pictures, it's me and my inept computing. Otherwise, I don't know. They work ok for me here. J.R.
Track fiddlerPerhaps tomorrow I will take her for a ripping ride in the Mustang..... I'm running out of ideas here but I think that one might help
Dropping the top on the red Mustang and taking the wife for a ripping ride is not an option for me any longer.
However, I am enjoying all the extra space in the garage and $$$ in the bank.
I only miss the Mustang about once every six weeks. That is about how often I miss the motorcycles.

Question about JR's (GMT Racing) pictures.
I can see all the photographs people post in here, but I can never see JR's. All I get is a little box with an "X" in it.
Ed uses Flickr also, and I can always see his pictures.
Is there a setting or something I can change to fix this?
Lunch Break. I think i caught up with most of it and i suppose I am not surprised we had a visit from Steven Otte.We had a time before where folks would jump in and have a scrum with some of the diner regulars and it nearly ended the diner. I agree with the concept of using a PM to sort out differences instead of the forum. I try to keep within the guidelines as listed and move forward. In the mean time, lets not try to butter Steven up too much.... J.R.
All Right! I got top. Lunch is on me and if you are sheltering in place and not out and about feel free to indulge in a glass or so of your favourite adult beverage as well.

Good Afternoon,
TF, Robbie is a West Highland White Terrier. Lots of pics on the net of that breed. They are the dog that is on the cover of the Cesar dog food containers. A small but sturdy dog. He is 12" at the shoulder and weighs 22 lbs. Like most terriers they have large teeth for their size.
Ken, I guess Dirk doesn't like the vacuum. The Afghan Hound I had tried to pee on small dogs that got too close and he found annoying.
