The Yeti and me

Which is Which???  Whistling

LaughLaughLaugh

I know right

The barber shops are closed too and I'm going to have to find my scissors

I'm maintaining a pretty respectable hygiene considering the circumstances I'm faced with these days though

This is a picture of my rope haired Brother who I just love to death  The picture is about 12 years ago

Here is a current picture

I just love that Kid and am so proud of him  He is a successful Craftsmen just like me

He sure did clean up well and maybe one day I should do the same

In the mean time I'm glad to hear you guys are enjoying the photos

Please keep your sense of humor about you

Laughter is the best medicine

Sorry, not buying it!  Smile, Wink & Grin  Those pictures were taken about 2 minutes apart. Laugh

That's fine Mike  You can buy whatever you like

That's my Brother and I would swear on the Holy Bible nothing counts and hope to go to Hell if I'm lying

My Brother wore dread locks for a lot of years and I loved him just the same

He sent me these two pictures the other night

Unless he was wearing a wig all those years I may have never known

That Kid could do stuff on a skateboard that would blow your mind

I have a call out to him

I see what your talking about Mike

Not only the hair line  But the expression on his face in the second picture and the same shirt he's wearing

I think your right

I will get a call back from my Bro  If he put me together all these years  I do believe all that's going to happen is a lot more laughs

And an As Kicking the next time I see himLaugh

Another long-time goal accomplished because we can't get together with other people:

My wife and I drove out to see another grave near our house.

This is Boot Hill.  On the small hill in back of the monument, 26 people are buried in unmarked graves.  In 1876, they were killed in the crossfire in a range war between cowboys and homesteaders.  There are 25 men and one woman buried there.

As you can see, we don't worry too much about crowded conditions and isolating ourselves from too many people.

Having a whole apartment complex quarantined is new to me.

It is not an entire complex, just one building in Capital Hill, Seattle. There are only eight units in the building.

And yet another treat

The classic railroad plow  Big  I don't know about any one else here but I have gotten plowed a little more than normal lately even though it is SpringLaugh

A beautiful bridge is always a good thing too  Especially one as magnificent as this

Did I ever mention I really like these thingsWhistling

There were twelve tears to the bridge but they did not fit into the picture  Only eyes present captured it all at that moment

I'm sorry for the high volume of Internet interaction  A lot of sites are frozen at this time and it's not flowing smoothly

I'm going to go out and take Judy for that ripping ride in the Mustang now

I wish I could take you guys too  but I don't think you'll fit in the backseatWhistling Laugh

I'll give you all a ride one at a time and it'll be fun

Kevin, I told you that I bought one of those plastic photo storage cases that you got from Michaels, and I wished I had another one.

I checked today, and they now have them for $11, regularly $44.  I bought it online, and I will drive about 50 miles one way to get it.

It's an outing, but the drive is not much more than the shipping would be, and it means I can get out of the house for a while.

I hope your wife can find some relief from worry about your daughter.  Praying for her.

I remember the time three of us were going to russel a beef critter, and transport it in the back seat of a Mustang-----amazing how a touch of the grape will alter spacial perceptions.

What's even funnier is I wish I could have been there with you guys on that one

Those cases has been simply wonderful for my needs. I am glad you found my suggestion useful.

Thank you. We will not know the results of the tests for 3-4 days. She and her husband have no symptoms right now.

It is amazing how much my thoughts have changed. When I heard my daughters were all locked indoors with their husbands and nothing to do, I was really hoping this would lead to one of those coveted grandbabies. Now I am just worried about my baby.

Little Timmy For the first time in 21 day's, I have FINALLY found a 4 pack of toilet paper.

Don't you have a rash by now, Timmy?

No....we have 13 cat's, so , in a pinch .....

( just kidding. we had a  12 pack of toilet paper when this all started. But now, almost a month later, we were down to 2 half roll's. So the "cat solution"  was only sorta considered...... but then I found the 4 roll package, and the cat's came out of hiding. )

Rust...... It's a good thing !

I think you actually mispelled "Spans" as "Tears".

I believe the cement supports are "Piers", but there are no "Tiers" to be seen.

As the US had started airmail in 1918, and had gone transcontinental by 1924, that blimp, train mail interchange was nothing but a stunt. However, Ed for the sheer amount of interesting details, thanks for sharing that clip. For those interested in US commercial aviation in the 30s and 40s, I would thoroughly recommend “Fate is the Hunter” written by Ernst K Gann.

BTW, a nice cup of tea would go down well with a cream bun or lamington. That said, if I were to indulge in my favourite adult beverage, as mentioned by JR, this would be it…

York1 John, thank you for sharing your graveside visits, most interesting. When living in the King Country I would occasionally go to the local cemetery and clean the headstone of John Rochfort, the surveyor/engineer who surveyed the North Island Main Truck through uncharted country, while confronted by less than friendly Maori. While he was severely criticised for the Raurimu Spiral, (the final design done by Robert Holmes), it is still in use today.

Glad I can raise a smile, Garry.

I just took my last photograph on the 30 by 30 photo diorama board i have been using for three years.

It, and most of the props, were just carted to the curb for a trip to the landfill tomorrow.

Now I will be photographing on the layout segment I built to test my benchwork design.

I hope to get a couple of hundred good photographs in the next 9 days, then it will be cut up and tossed into the dumpster.

This is not bad news... this is all steps towards finally building my final lifetime layout. The temporary pieces are going away... time for the permanent to begin.

The last picture on the photo diorama was an autumn scene.

Good Morning All,

Wow, 5 hours without a diner and halfway down the page. Did the inner tube deflate last night? I'll have a regular to go please. 47F this morning but still overcast. Traffic every morning is like early Sunday these days. We'll call it an unwanted benefit.

Kevin - Progess is good. Whose white birch did you use on the diorama? The ones I have were done decades ago and are looking a little peaked or at least past prime.

Some progress last night on the power house but not much. Still lacking ambition.     Catch y'all later, time to pick up tools.   Ciao, J.R.
