gmpullmanHumm, maybe a "browser" issue?
This is really a weird glitch. It is apparently only the "General Discussion" forums that are giving me the problem.
"Layout Building", "DCC & Electronics", and "Prototype Information" all seem, to be working OK.
In General Discussion the "Add Quote" button is not there.
No big deal. I am sure it will start working again. I don't fret these things too much.

How about a pack of Cadillacs?
Some neat concepts here from the "Vert-A-Pac" era!
I wasn't aware of the "three-pack" container idea. (5:50)
Cheers, Ed
Suddenly the forum is acting up.
It will not let me include a quote in my reply. Oh well. I will try again later.
The house across the road is done. A couple of people came and looked at it today. I will probably have some new neighbors in a few weeks.
I do not like getting new neighbors. Fortunately there is only one more empty building site on my street, so this will not be happening too often, I hope.

TF, find yourself a rheumatologist. Mine has saved me, and able to get back to normal activities. She helped me with things the orthopedic people just shrugged off.
I was told by my orthopedic guy, the shot you got was more for "tennis elbow", and that's all it's approved for down here.
Good luck with your joints, man.....
Mike.

Good evening.
Happy Birthday Mr. B
Well, the knee recovery thing for me since it went south three weeks ago leaves alot to be desired.
I tried going back to work a day last week and it didn't go to well.
This is a time in my life when I'm realizing I've been hard on my body my hole life and some parts are getting tired.
I may have to give it a few more weeks. Getting old sucks! I have the desire to keep doing what I do but not everything is cooperating anymore.
Put in a good word to the Man Upstairs for me if you will I'm starting to get a little worried here.
For the birders...
There's a big bald eagle out by the creekside about a hundred yards from my house. I haven't seen him so close before. There was something that died a couple of days ago out there. Turkey vultures were pecking at it, but this is the first time I've seen the eagle there.
It takes an iron man to play with a toy iron horse.
Nice photos Garry.

Howdy ...
Ulrich ..... We have fond memories of our visit to Germany many years ago. We wish we could have returned to see more. I recall a few years ago when you kindly put together a suggested itinerary for such a trip. I wish we had done that. Too much other stuff prevented us from doing that. Our passports are current just in case.
...
Meanwhile, back in Texas.
Below is my Texas Special. I painted the old Hobbytown PA1 myself. I think, Katy RR had one of the most attractive paint scheme for the PA1. Katy only had handful of them, however. The passneger cars were made by Con Cor.
Below is the Texas Special meeting the Texas Zephyr.
Next is the observation car:

Lazersit is ironic that the former GDR and Check Point Charlies etc. is nowadays the big tourist attraction.
It is even more ironic that Berlin has a socialist/communist government these days, which has turned the city into what your President aptly described as a (beep, expletive deleted).
Happy times!

Good morning. It's still cold out, so I walked at the field house today. I miss mornings walking on the trail. It won't be long before the weather is warm enough to do that again.
Our local 4-H club has rocketry as an activity. 4th of July pop bottle rockets are as close as I've ever come to the hobby.
Happy belated birthday to MisterBeasley. Hope you had a good day and enjoyed the food.
Working on a grain elevator model I got for Christmas. It's not something I would have picked, but it's something to do.
Happy Tuesday.

Hi Ulrich, I have visited Germany twice, albeit only 4-day holidays to Berlin - which was a fantastic city. I sought-out a great model shop, 'Turberg' and purchased a HO Rivarossi 2-car Strassenbahn of the GDR. I never got to visit anywhere else in Germany and it is ironic that the former GDR and Check Point Charlies etc. is nowadays the big tourist attraction. Paul - no time for drinks right now.

Kevin - Bavaria had very little industry and was mainly depending on farming. It has been Germany´s poorhouse for nearly a century and received massive subsidies to foster economic development. Big companies were lured by cheap land and cheap credits to invest in Bavaria. Those investments paid off, and Bavaria is now a rich state, but one that has forgotten where the money came from. Unfortunately, quite a few people in the US have that chocolate box image of Germany in their heads which they gained during the occupation until 1949. There is much, much more to Germany than just Heidelberg, Hofbräuhaus and Lederhosen.
Tinplate ToddlerLegally, that may be so, but they don´t see them as Germans
Oh, they are like Texans, where the diner is this month.
But Texas really is different. Texas is the only state that was an independent country and petitioned to join the United States. So when Texans say they are Texans first and Americans second, there really is a little something to that.
We still love them.
SeeYou190I thoght Bavaria was part of Germany, just like the other fifteen states.
Legally, that may be so, but they don´t see them as Germans. From a Prussian´s point of view, they are still the traitors they were, when they fought on the Austrian side in the Austro-Prussian war of 1866. They changed sides after the Prussian army gave them a whacking they´d never forget.
As you can see, we have our own North/South trouble.

cudakenHobbies I never wanted to do? 1 Rockets 2 Model Planes 3 RC Boats
I have never done rockets or RC Boats, but I have built a lot of 1/48 scale model planes.
Living a pretty boring life and I am fine with that!
Been to the Grand Canyon ones. I was Impressed, it was winter and it was beautiful in Flagstaff AZ.
TF Glad you found your little Pink Rocket! Hobbies I never wanted to do?
1 Rockets
2 RC Model Planes
3 RC Boats
I think they are cool and fun but to much of a risk for me!
Later Ken and Dirk is feeling a tad better.

Good evening
Mr. B. ....... ....I hope it was a good one.
Kevin ..... The S&G F3's look good.
I hope Steve O's surgery went well.
Cheers.
It's my birthday for one more hour. I had a great dinner of sea bass and a few draft beers. I splurged and had a huge piece of chocolate cake, but birthdays come but once a year.
For those not familiar with the quote, "All the world's a stage..." is from Shakespeare's Macbeth. It also contains "It is a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury..."
When I studied Shakespeare in high school, they did it all wrong. It was never meant to be read. It was meant to be performed and seen.
Tinplate ToddlerGerman Days! Why do they show a Bavarian flag? Bavaria is not Germany, just a a big PITA!
I thoght Bavaria was part of Germany, just like the other fifteen states.
If you had an American Festival in Germany and displayed the Maryland, Florida, Texas, and Tennessee flags, I think we would all be OK.
The German flag reminds me of a STRATTON AND GILLETTE F3 in freight service.
It dawned on me tonight that I haven't seen posts from a couple long time contributors: AggroJones and "Chuck", retired Air Force I think, living in the Nevada desert, and using steel studs to build a layout in his garage. I can't recall his forum name but it was something like tomikawatt. Anyone know anything? Gary
Insomnia is striking again!
German Days! Why do they show a Bavarian flag? Bavaria is not Germany, just a a big PITA! My son always says, that Disneyland is relocating to Germany - they´ll put a fence around Bavaria and charge entrance!
Edit: Top of the page! Order your choice of poison - it´s on my tab!
Steven Otte said that he was having surgery today and would not be at work for a week.
Hopefully, everything went well. Maybe he will check in here later this week while he is at home and tell us how he is doing. Of course, that would be like work to him, so maybe he won't.
Good to see you Terry, Hi!
Well the model railroad show was good to me on Saturday.
Not much N scale to speak of but I happened to find two rare cars in the mix.
Both green ironically. I found a great northern with the goat in the corner and the small red writing in red on the green small letters diagonally and a rare circus car.
Minneapolis Northfield and Southern on Green is also rare, it's usually a red or a blue box car.
So I had a good day Saturday Sunday and today.
But more importantly, how are all you doing?
Tinplate ToddlerPeople have lost all their common sense!
I concur. The Media doesn't help, either.

Mandan North Dakota. A delightful Town consisting of 90% German people. German Days festival every year. The people are so friendly I never want to leave every time I go there.
I would go for that route. Northern Pacific built this town for you and Petra. I would suggest you find a way to get there
It would amaze you the programs they have for you to get here! Figure out a way and just do it
If you need some help, pm me. I know some people. They know the big shooters of the town. That's the beautiful thing about it, the town isn't that big.
Good Evening!
Just stopping by on my way to the bunkhouse.
This country is in full panic mode! We now have two confirmed deaths and 1,156 confirmed cases. People are stockpiling food, toilet paper and disinfectants. I still think there is no reason to panic, but who listens to reason in this day and age of mass hysteria? People have lost all their common sense!
Good Night, everyone! Stay safe!
